    Down South Motorsports did that for me.

    It's really coming down at the moment. Maybe 1/3" an hour and about a 1/2" total since midnight-we got a little more than that all day yesterday.

    I know the one, it's a puddle compared to in front of goodwill, was about an inch almost all the way across the road and covering the curb, good times...

    I heard Petaluma Blvd South at 101 is closed. Accident caused by a giant puddle?

    Unless you live in Southern California, yes. :rolleyes:

    The news was discussing the drought and conservation rates. Northern California has been conserving at 15% whereas Southern California, just over 1%. Amazing.

    The other thing they said was even if we got 150% of normal rainfall, we'd still not have filled all of the reservoirs.

    Yes.

    But.

    I heard some radio "air heads" on the radio lambasting the strawman that "this rain doesn't make any difference." :mad:

    That's stupid. Of course this storm makes a big difference. The rainfall is filling all our storage mechanisms:

    * Underground aquifers
    * Reservoirs
    * Plants and crops that store and consume water and that would otherwise need to draw down our storage even further through irrigation

    That said - all those storage mechanisms are SO depleted that a single good fall storm is NOT nearly enough to fill them up.

    So, while the rain is a good thing and we're now building up instead of depleting storage reserves, we'll continue to be in a drought situation until we get couple of good solid wet years that can really top off our storage.

    ...too much shit to list.
    This...totally this.
    They drained millions of gallons out of Tahoe in November...and most went to Southern California. All the docs in Tahoe now run out to dirt. They don't even touch water right now. :mad:

    Was just up at Tahoe last week and walked the puppies shoreside. It was sad to be able to walk out underneath all the docs. Good time for piling inspections though! This year in early spring Trinity Lake was soo low, you had to drive an extra quarter mile down from the boat launch to actually launch anything...

    This is the same thing that happened during the last drought. NorCal? Brown lawns and pee filled toilets. Buckets of rainwater or grey water to water plants. Dirty cars. SoCal? What drought?
