Sending good thoughts for Charlie - hope this is the beginning of the good life now!!

I put off having the colonoscopy for years...always had an excuse. Two years ago, Lynn and I decided both to just get it done - turned out to be very easy, not at all what I'd heard about. And, while Lynn was clean, they found a pre-cancerous polyp on mine. had I waited another year or so I'd have been facing a much different scenario. Now I'm on a 3 year cycle for colonoscopies and will gladly do it.

Thanks Paulie. I'm very happy to read that post surgery prognosis. My thoughts stay with Charlie and all of you for his recovery and comfort.

Have a good trip and thank you for updating us. Stay safe.

No deer? :( Hope that improves.

Thanks for the update Paul. Glad he made it okay and the docs are satisfied they got it all . Be safe on your charter today. Thanks again.

NO DEER Carl :(, when I was hunting, they would be all over until Monday morning at sunrise. I think they all go vacation to avoid hunting season:rofl:. The only reason anyone in my group would get a deer was because the locals would drive them our way and even with that I never got one:(. I guess being in the right place at the right time helps.:D

    Morning Ken.

Been talking on it for about a week now, but the weather had been on the windy side; between wind chill and the safety factor for being up on the ladder, I kept putting it off. Snowed Tuesday, but not much wind and warmer, so I finally got to it; actually felt more Christmas like with the snow falling. :) Putting up the lights and buying Kristi's present are my two Christmas "things".

Some of the businesses that weren't destroyed are definitely rebuilding. Some of them are using crowdfunding to get the money. That's what I was referring to when I said they could be helped.

I agree that the business people were let down though; the national guard was already there on Monday night, before the announcement, but the troops were protecting places like the police station and not the businesses.
I hope so too! Thanks Paul for the update.

I don't know if my dad put them off, refused them, or what, but he waited too long. Finally he was experiencing bleeding and needed surgery. That was almost 30 years ago and he's still with us. I'm hoping Charlie gets the same gift of life my dad got.

And I have colonoscopies every 5 years. In fact I'm due for one.

    Good morning all!

I too would suggest an occasional black snake boogie. All in all the colonoscopy is not too bad of an experience. As long as you do not find yourself on youtube afterward, the benefits most likely outweigh the process.

I had a guy working for me. He was a few years older than I, and he was a health food nut. He was always "eating right" and taking care of himself. Except he was too embarrassed to get a colonoscopy. He should have.

If one does a cost benefit analysis on the benefits vs. risk it becomes obvious that having a polyp or two nipped out is better than a life without a sphincter. And this comes from a guy who doesn't trust doctors.

With that bit of wisdom out of the way, I bid you good day.
