    Regarding your HID'd roof lights. 35 watt ballasts? What kelvin temp are they? Are all 4 identical, housing, ballast, bulb?

    Mine are Hella 500s retried with 55w HIDs. Two are 4300k and two are 6000k. All DDM HIDs and the bigger raptor ballasts.

    I'd do slim ones now though.

    These are some of the few HIDs I've seen in action. Just trying correlate what I recall to the actual specs.

    Of course, these are using reflectors, dificult to compare to a street wise projector.

    All are 55 watt eh? Why the different color temps? Just happened to be what you had on hand or is there some method to your madness? :D

    Yup, sent my request.

    My suggestion on the 35w vs. 55w. If you want as much light output as possible get the Osram Nightbreakers instead. The most lumens and since they're 35w they won't burn out fast like 55w tends to do.

    Just what happened haha but now that it is done..I like the two differences. That said. 6000k is almost too white. 5000k would be nice. But it's nice to blend the two together.

    4300k is still pretty white, it's definetly not an yellow.

    Thinking about projectors huh? Would be an upgrade big time.

    Are those available at 4300K?

    Yes and yea, also pricy.

    I am not a fan of the 6000K light. It seems "thin" to me. I am uncertain about the 5000K light.

    I like 4300K in a halogen at least.

    4300k will be a good choice. 35w will be fine with headlights too. 55w will probably be too bright with low beams.

    Yup, only available in 4300k. Offer up about 3,500 lumens. They're currently the brightest D2S bulbs available.

    If I wasn't getting those, I'd be getting 5000k. My reason for that is purely out of preference. I currently have 4300k and it's great, but it is just slightly off white(warm white) whereas 5000k is more of a natural white.

    6000k is where you begin to get a blue tint, and is why TRS doesn't sell anything above that. I had those in my 96 and were too blue for me. I don't care about color spectrum like some people do, I prefer as white light as possible.

    If you choose Osram bulbs be sure NOT to accidentally get CBI's. They're the cool blue intensity version of the Osram nightbreakers...

    Also, I realized I was wrong about the stage 4 retrofit. So don't bother getting that. The only difference is that you're paying for OEM high quality Phillips bulbs and ballasts. The bulbs aren't as good as the Osram Nightbreakers and the ballasts only shorten your warmup time to 3 seconds. My current old version of TRS' ballasts take 5 seconds to warm up at the most. So not a big difference. I'm told the Phillips ballasts also hum more.

    And one last thing I just remembered... You will lose your high beam indicator whe adding HID's due to the fact that the H4 wiring harnesses only need one H4 connector to read when you've selected hi/low beam. So your truck thinks a bulb is out and the high beam indicator won't come on. Two ways to fix this, either buy module or just make add a resistor.

    I assume you meant to post this, but what do you mean more expensive? From a 2nd gen stand point their dual case setup is about on par price wise with doing an FJC swap with a Marlin Crawlbox. If you stick with the single 4.7 case, it's about the same price as adding a crawl box to your current Tcase.

    And no I posted what I wanted. It's a dual case setup but all gear driven. No chain drive. That's the deal with the new verso case. They made an adaptor and put in a Toyota gear case.

    I wouldn't want a single with 4.7. Be too low for a lot of situations. My stock one is pretty low as it is with the 5.29s. I'd want more versatility due to the manual tranny.
