Yes SSE'd. Timed everything perfectly. Next DROS is 12/21 with pickup on 12/31 before the cut off. Even though most claim they can and will DROS until 12/31 with final pickup on 1/30, I'm not risking it. My last SSE is ordered and paid for awaiting DROS.

I sold my gen4 glock 17. But I love my gen4 glock 34 and 19. 34 for the range and 19 for EDC. Same caliber and can use the 34's 17 round mags in the 19. The 34 also has a better trigger and a longer sight radius. That's why I prefer it over the 17 for a range gun.

Americans love their trucks made in the US and their guns made in Europe and/or Russia lol

Enjoying being away from the cold for a week, its great being outside in the 50* weather rather than -20* haha. Yea good thing you were out of town for freeze that came through, not fun.

Personally, as far as I've seen for build quality & reliability...
    Older 870 > New 870
    Older 870 > New 500
    Older 500 > New 870
    Older 500 > New 500
Older 870 > Older 500, but not by a lot.

Edit: Of course, I'm sure there's those out there who'll disagree.
    :crapstorm:

90% of my firearms have "Made in USA" stamped on them.
One even says "Made in Houlton, ME" on it :D
I like owning a gun that was made by somebody in my state, even if they do live nearly as far away as Connecticut.

I'm left handed Noel, so the top tang safety is really nice.....until you want to put a tactical pistol grip stock on :(

Any decent gunsmith should be able to convert an 870 safety to a lefty design pretty easily

There is a kit for it but its apparently backordered on Midway's site. :/

I'm thinking i should find a lightly used right handed 870 turkey model with the 21" barrel. Then drop that safety kit in.

    Nice!
