Put on a set of Michelin LTX MS2. Just short of 25k and the BFGs are feathering and causing a little drumming at around 60. Loved the LTX MS that I have been running on our 08 Liberty for the past 30k miles.

Paid out $2700 for a Rack and pinion job, just add that to my growing list of repairs on a 2008 Tacoma (which I had from new) with 40000 miles on it and outside looks like new. Springs replaced, new ones sag, caliper replaced, steering shaft No.2 replaced, alternator replaced (old one looked like a clump of rust), the air conditioner unit is not working. Add that to the fact, the mechanic asked me if I planned to keep the truck for awhile because it looked awful corroded underneath, bolt heads, bracket etc. (including the connector on Rack and Pinion where hose connected and that is why that went) So I wonder what is next.

So far I've added an Advance folding bed cover and since removed it. Gave it to my son in Maine, he has an 05 2wd. GT perfect fit seat covers. Weathertech floor mats and window vent visors. Waag center brush/grill guard. Hose clamp tailgate mod. Turned off the seat belt chime. Added Ultra-Gauge. Trailer hitch. Softopper. Replaced sun visors with slide out style. Toyota bed extender. Had Firestone Destinations and now Michelin LTX AT2 in stock size. More mods to come; Fog lights, locking storage in bed, intermittent wipers. Now looking for Radio/HU upgrade. and maybe a lift way down the road.
Wow. I have an 09 with twice the miles and no problems like that. Sorry to hear all this.

You're in nova Scotia, I'm guessing they use a great deal of salt and grit during the winter when it snows. You should be coating your frame and entire underbody with rust preventive stuff, like fluid film.

I'm going to assume being in nova scotia is a culprit to all the corrosion and rust?

I finally swapped out my 2006 Silver Streak mirrors for those of a 2014 Tacoma. Yes, they're black and I think they look great with the black & silver theme. I wish they had turn signals on them, but this is a good second.
