There's nowhere decent in NY, haha!
We're taking the Blue Gumdrop down (Edit-as long as the forecast is supposed to be decent), so I'll average around 38-40mpg on the highway. More, if I can find a semi doing a decent speed to draft behind. I've gotten the Fit up to 53mpg doing that before

Unfortunately it's not upstate, it's down near the city. The meeting/party's at a hotel in Westchester, right off the highway. So definitely not a trip I'm looking forward to.

 

I'm going down to Long Island this weekend and I get 13mpg lol. If I see ya, I'll be sure to make your ride difficult. I'll just look for a steamy blue Honda Fit with a bunch of dudes crammed inside it

 

Fail. This is next weekend (the 13th). Plus, 3 of the office girls immediately volunteered to ride with me when I said I could drive.

Edit: Of course, guys can ride in silence. I'm sure I'll be listening to these girls jibber jabbering the entire way down and back. Two sides to every coin...

 

They'll probably be loud as hell too. So have fun with that when the hangover is in play

 

Westchester is still pretty nice, especially near the Hudson (just don't pay attention to the diapers floating down the river and ignore all the PCBs).

13 MPG to Long Island and back when you could just stay home and watch internet porn for free and have the same end result...

 

My brother in-law just bought one of those curved TV's. He didn't pay anywhere near that price. I'm not sure but it was around 3K for a 55" I think.

Damn... that's more than I paid for my camper and all of my camping trips last year combined

 

I'm hoping that since I'm going to roust them out of the hotel early on Sunday (I'm planning on leaving around 5 or 6 in the AM to beat some of the traffic ) that they'll just sleep on the way back.

Me too. Thats more than I have paid for all my camper and campground trips combined in the last 4 years.

 

It actually is. It's like the Charles River in Boston, there are areas that look really nice but you absolutely wouldn't want to wade in!

Rob, does your camper have plumbing? If so, what do you do to winterize?
