I would like to raise my rear 1.5 to 2". I have no issues going with a blocks. Can any one suggest the easiest and cost effective way of doing this? Thanks.

Blocks suck...especially with the marginal leaf pack tacoma's come with. Axle wrap nightmare. Get an AAL or progressive AAL if you're on a budget.

Ditto. AAL's can be found pretty cheap.

Why not wait until the leaf spring recall solution is identified and go from there? If they replace the leaf pack with one that raises it 1.5", problem solved. If they don't, then you certainly don't want to install the AAL beforehand. Granted, Toyota's solution might just be something to protect the gas tank, but we just don't know yet. If they replace the leaf packs, I'll be in this boat hoping the new packs do what my AAL does now. Otherwise I'll have to reinstall my AAL a second time.

You sure? I got a letter last week (2nd notice) and others got theirs this week. All our letters were the next legal notice reminding us of the recall and tells us they don't yet have a solution. Does yours specify the solution?

I replaced the stock 3 leafs on each side with 8 on each side and added a steel gas tank skid. I think it fixed the problem. Toyota should just do that. free lifts for everyone...

I grew up with a family cabin in Soda Springs. We let the pups loose at Lake Van Norden or whatever they are calling it now a days... Snow banks in the shade and lotsa critter tracks everywhere. The pups love running off leash around that meadow/pond/lake. Cant wait for the snow to turn it into some great cross country ski trails!
