I have a yakima with a LED bar right above the cab so right above me and it cuts off some of the spot. I feel mounting it that far back would cut alot of the light out especially facing the back if your using it for your backup light...

Yeah that's what I was worried about. I see guys with old school roll bars with the lights on top, like the look of them, but if the light will be worthless then I probably won't do so

Question: My check engine light keeps coming on and the computer says its an 02 sensor. We've replaced it 3 times...any ideas of what else it may be?

Not an exhaust leak in front of the 02 sensor? My wife's sister was borrowing my wife's honda and the CEL came on and she had Autozone run the code and told her it was the 02 sensor but I said wait until I look at it and I popped the hood and found a crack in the manifold. Replaced that and it was good to go.

A few have done it with good results. I can definitely tell that the only play in my steering is directly from the slip joint.

If the o2 sensor keeps failing it could be masking any number of things. My sisters gti was an oil leak that was clogging her cat.
Hopefully your just having bad luck with sensors.

What brand are you replacing it with, its also better to do both at the same time, but get the code read because it very well could be something else

Yes, I did this very shortly after buying my truck and didn't have enough time to get super annoyed with the slop. Back in July my roommate and I did both our trucks. At the time, he had owned his truck for about a year and the slop was an annoyance to him - especially off-road.

Sounds like you have more issues than just the slip joint then...

Mine isn't enough to cause steering issues. Just the steering wheel itself has a small amount of play. Anything more than that I would suspect it's your steering rack bushings.

Also did this about 2 years ago. I wouldn't think it would affect wandering so much, but maybe. Idk. But yeah I live on a nasty dirt road and the "clatter" was super annoying. I immediately did this when I found that thread. All gone now, nice and tight steering wheel. Even have a little more response at higher speeds drving down highways. Went pretty easy on the tacs and it hasn't broke loose even after rough terrain wheeling and on my dirt road every day. But I'm confident it'll break loose if in an accident.

    X2.

The FSM calls out that the steering wheel can have up to 1" of rotational play (measured at the steering wheel grip) before something is considered wrong. So, keep that in mind.

Yup, but I can feel when the slip joint "grabs" which is what my play is. Maybe the FSM considers that normal, doesn't mean I don't want to make it better haha

Plus that doesn't change the fact that the slip joint shouldn't be causing his vehicle to feel unsafe on the road.
