Let me start by saying that I am the type who doesn't need a level to square or level things so I am bothered by things most don't notice :-/
I have noticed that on my new 2015 Tacoma Access cab (5miles on it when I got it) that the gaps on either side between the bed and cab are not the same. The driver side gap is wider. Now nothing has happened to the truck at all. Doors fit perfectly and everything is straight as an arrow. Frame is pristine as it should be. Is this the way they all are? As I said, most people wouldn't notice it since it is only 1/4 or so difference (gap is even on both sides from top to bottom). It's just that once I notice something like that I obsess .
I traded in a 98 regular cab 4x4 on this and I know that they aren't built with the same care as they were back then. At 61 I have owned enough cars and trucks to know about that.

Stand behind your truck and see if the passenger wheel/tire stick out more than the driver's side if you want to get really angry.

    2 options:

1-it's a 2015, take it in to the dealer and ask them WTF?

2-losen up the bed bolts and try to even it out. it's possible the bolts aren't 100% tightened down and it shifted slightly in transport.

I was thinking that the bed may have been tightened down while a bit off. I spent most of my life as a scientific illustrator so I notice the tiniest damn differences in things. It is a curse. Since it really seems to be aesthetic I will just mention it when I take it in to the dealer the first time. i will likely have to get a ruler out so they can see it. The truck drives great.
I bet if I mentioned it to my wife, daughter or grandkids they wouldn't notice it :-(

Once I get a decent weather day that is what I will do. I was figuring that others were the same and it migh be fairly common.

No cap on the truck, just a toolbox. Until I adjust it I will avoid looking at it :)

Yup. It is like a kid with a pimple though. Once you notice, it bothers the hell out of you :)

My 2012 Tacoma had the bed offset too, didn't notice at first, but once the cap was on you could tell, told dealer when I took it in for service, was fixed no charge!
