    Hello everyone

I'm new here..Been reading up the past few weeks and finally got into a 2012 Tacoma last weekend...I have wanted a tacoma for a long time but I couldn't stop playing with my diesels.

I got this truck and I'm unsure if it is a TRD model or not...There is no stickers on the bed..The shocks are blue and yellow and I have these buttons....The truck a sport model as it has all white bumpers and mirrors as well as blinkers in the mirrors....I found it on the Internet for sale and was listed as a sr5 tacoma.

Further more can someone tell me what the rsca button is for ? And how I know if it is on or off.

RSCA is roll sensing curtain airbags , that button allows you to disable them if you are doing any offroading that would cause the truck to be at extreme body angles

The RSCA is used to turn off your side curtain airbags if you plan on some high tilt angles when off road. You'll find more detailed info in the owners manual.

Do you have a hood scoop?

If yes, you have a TRD Sport. (not TRD offroad)

RSCA button needs to be held down for a few seconds and then a light will light
up on the dash telling you rollover airbags are off

turn them off if you go anywhere offroad where you will be at odd angles like climbing hills or tippy sideways

The truck would be at a point of no return at that point. Saving the airbags is the least of your worries at that stage.

Wait, I was under the impression from lurking here a long while. Only the TRD OR could "extreme" & "Offroading" at the same time??

I'm confused, you can do this with a Sport model too? Do 5-lugs and even more curious, do Pre Runners have this button as well? Not trying to be smart, asking a legit question?

This, and a TRD OR is closer to an SR5 than a Sport is. Or I should re state, more convincing as an SR5 model.
