ive always wondered that... i can tell my drive line moves quite a bit when demanding torque. (shifters move) always have been under the impression if u go solid mounts do them all at once. but on a dd its not practical... poly mounts would be dope though... stiffer but still would absorb no?

I know these damn Japanese designs are not friendly for my paws. I'm not some huge lumberjack dude - more linebacker build I suppose - but trying to get my hands into some of those spaces....grrr.

I would never do completely solid mounts. Maybe I'm wrong but it seems like one would want a little give to account for frame and crossmember flex (and Toyota frames do flex)!!! TG motor mounts and the 4x transmission mount are a poly type semi solid mount. It significantly increases in cab vibrations but there is still some minimal isolation.

That said...if you solid mount half the mounts, guess where all the engine and transmission movement focuses on? Because of that, most people do all or nothing. You risk breaking the one isolator you didn't step up.

Installed 1,500 thread count Egyptian cotton sheets. Wait, that's not for my Tacoma. But the super soft sleeping luxury I will get tonight may help me think of ways to finance more Taco mods :)

When I actually do the engine cage, I'll be replacing all the mounts. I'll put the 4x back on for the tranny mount but the TG motor mounts are going in the shit can. I'll be replacing them with Landon's (supermoto) mounts. They are not just the pivot piece like TG. They replace the block side hardware too. And the bushing is WAY larger.
These are the same mounts Bonzen has been running on his race truck for like the last 9 years. Hit up Landon if you guys are looking for a set.

That's what I did too. Giant pain in the dick. I had my front diff out at the time and still a pain.

The biggest problems with the TG mounts are the tiny bushing and the placement, the closer the the frame you put the bushing the longer mounts last and the less stress they put on the perch

I think I still have the dxf files. I can get them cut for u if you want. They take a little grinder massaging and you'll need a vice and your favorite ford tool (bfh) to bend them.

I followed a sick full LT first gen last night and I heard the squeaking thru my radio haha. I turned it off and followed him a little just to realize how relatively quiet mine is haha.

    End cap's getting welded in.

SWR readings of 1.5 on 1 & 40. Couldn't get them lower, if I tried one would go thru the roof. All other channels are less than 1.
