Yep. Those four wires are all you need to extend to where ever you want to put the plug.

 

It's worked well for me really. I like it.

 

Jacob, this is the ladder I have. It's much sturdier then the extension ladder. I really like it.

thanks fellas, you guys r so helpful, monte, ive always heard that people prefer the telescoping ladder why do you like the sliding one? the telescope on always felt unstable to me and never like it was set right.

 

That's why I didn't like the telescoping one too! The sliding one is way more solid. And it's easy to make "custom" lengths. Just drill the holes where you want the pins to pop into to stop it.

My telescoping ladder would never fully lock. Was annoying. Made using the ladder sketchy and sleeping on that side sketchy.

With the sliding one..solid as a rock.

It is taller then the telescoping ladder when the tent it folded up and longer. But it's well worth it IMO.

Monte, I recall using 4 gauge when we did the alt upgrade. And I used 4 gauge for all the amp stuff too.

I am wondering if that is a heavy enoug gauge for configuring dual batteries. Seem like it might not be as Timmy used 0 gauge I believe.

Do you recall what you used? I been re-reading those sections in this thread and it is a bit unclear.

I am fairly certain that 4 gauge is used for most winch cables too. I know that's what my smittybilt has.

 

Yea winches can peak up to over 400 amps, but it's not continuous.

I used a big ass wire to connect my batteries. 0/1 gauge, it came with my Kocker amp wiring kit. Has a 400amp fuse on it..its big ass wire. I didn't use 4ga

4ga is okay though..but I wouldn't be scared to go bigger

Yep..haha I just looked at my kicker kit..220 bucks..forgot it was that much..

Kicker wire is insanely flexible though. Love it.
