    Did anyone watch this?

Is this something you would do with your own rig, and friend for a chance of $100k?

Stock as Stock can be with duratracs and a roof rack
I would love to do it given the time, not with my rig at the moment as its still pretty close to stock.

Where was the sexy red pickup?!

And I had a laugh at them saying just because the bumper welds broke they "ran the risk of the front end falling off" if it wasn't fixed haha. I like seeing these kind of shows...but of course they never present the right information.

    Heck yes I'd do it.

I set the series on the DVR and caught it last night. I liked it! That Landy was a beast!! But Super Jeep was pretty damn tough too. That guys rig is built top to bottom and I am pretty sure he is the only one running two gearboxes. I think everyone else is pretty much factory, with the exception of the obvious off-roading necessities.

The race looks fun as hell though. Stressing too, in a lot of ways. I really didn't care for the guy getting all pissed about the trail being overrun with trees, and the guys before him just punching through it. Yeah, on a normal trailing session you try not to disturb nature excessively, but this is a race! Was he expecting those in the lead to take their time and cut down every tree blocking the trail? So he could just waltz on through with no issues? GTFOH! This was the same guy getting pissed that his D90 was getting scratches on the side.

The Rover is the only one I have seen around Anchorage, and posts on one of the local forums.

I love how 3 out of the 5 vehicles are Toyotas though! :D

Why would you question the reliability of a Chevy 350? Almost every FJ 40 in our club is running a 350 and I have yet to see one die....they run forever!

I watched it - not too shabby. Some funny characters in the show.

IDK if i would do it with my rig, but i'd def. love to run the course.

I liked it. I wish some of the rigs were a little more built up though. I was kinda sad to see the 1st gen 4Runner running a bracket lift rather than an SAS. I wish their rigs were built up like the guys from Top truck Challenge.

Shows they actually have a budget unlike some of the near 100k dollar rigs at top truck haha.

I saw a forum where people were bitching about them ruining nature etc...

It seemed to me like everywhere they went, there was already tracks/trail.

Perhaps it's an offroad area etc..

They were living trees on what looked like a non existent trail system until blazed by the idiots on the show.
There is no skill in aiming an off road vehicle, punching the skinny pedal hoping for the best. Tread lightly my ass.
imo the show is on the pale side of lame. Just another reason for viewers not understanding that the majority of us do not rip and tear up landscapes.

Well actually when they were running over the trees etc, it was an abandoned mining trail... So at one point it was a used, existing trail.

I just think it is ironic that the D90 was complaining about the other guys ploweing through the trees when it was obvious he did the same because of the scratches along the sides of his D90.

It looks to me like it was a trail, probably not driven with full size vehicles for a long time.

I thought it was Jim Creek at first!
