Most likely the NoXplode, I know a ton of people who swapped off of it cause they were scared they were gonna shit their pants at any moment. They never trusted a fart.

I bought it when I first got in the gym. If you can't afford ON or something similar, it's alright, I guess.

ON or musclepharm are going to be higher quality.

I was told it was a "dirtier" protein. More cholesterol and sodium than competing wheys. Not sure how much truth there is to that or not. I use Gold Standard...

Good selling point against it there, the cholesterol.

One of my reasons for making life changes was my cholesterol. A few yrs ago it was over 300. August '13 was 230 on statins, in part because I just popped the pill and didn't do aything else different. It's supposed to be 100 or less.

August '14 it was 62 and they took me off the statin, huge goal for me. I was a boozehound in my 20's so better to not have to be on a med that works with my liver.

Those Walmart shit pots are exactly that....when it comes to protein powder, you get what you pay for. Low price, low quality, massive anal issues. Higher price, higher quality, less time in the john, more time making gains

I guessed as much. However, they have the 30 oz Muscle Milk for $20..the 40 oz is about $50 at GNC, so in that case I'm wondering if it's really the same thing..

Made some huge improvement on my bench progress, bench has always been my weakest lift, and the last month or so i been focusing on lot more accessory as well as my regular benching, and my bench has gone from 315x1 to 325x5. One big contribution has been Floor press, I've been doing them after every bench session, and it greatly improved my speed on my bench, i always get stuck about 2 inches off my chest and floor press focus solely on your explosive power mid way off your chest, Another important accessory is close grip bench, really improved my triceps strength, and my OHP has been improving my shoulder stability, Im pretty confident now that i can hit 365 on a good day. I also changed my training rep range on bench from 3-5 to 5-8, the higher volume deff helped as well. 1400lbs club is in my near future.

Any particular reason you go to gnc? You have a vitamin shoppe close by?

Edit: using your town location on your profile, there is a vitamin shoppe to the north of your town, 20-25 min....its worth it, trust me.

It's that price at GNC as well, however you have to be a gold card member or else it's $107. A gold card member ships is $15 a year. I waited too long to order my protein and had to buy some there... I bought the membership and the protein so I didn't have to pay $107 for it. It's ridiculous. I'll never make that mistake again.

    Welcome, brethren

Yeah, when it comes to wanting to get a good, quality protein powder, Wal Mart brand doesn't really pop into my head.

bodybuidling.com is usually the cheapest and ON gold whey 5 lb is always the best bang for your buck. 74 servings for $58 is tough to beat; they're been voted best protein powder for 10 years in a row for a reason.

Or you could just get bb.com to ship it to your front door for the same price :stirthepot:

Don't even get me started on that fucking place. That 'Gold Card Member' thing is a bunch of shit. I told them I wasn't joining and they sold it to me for the "discounted gold member price." What they do is try to get people to sign up to get the huge savings, and if the people say no, they try to sell it to them for an outrageous price because most people don't know any better; but if you call them out on it, you get it for the "member price." That's fucked up. Plus, NONE of the people there know what they're talking about and they all try to give you advice and push a bunch of bullshit products on you. I put a pic on here of one of their employees like a year ago. Bitch was like 250 lbs trying to tell me that GNC brand protein was superior to ON or anything else, but only if I take creatine and their pre-workout with it, because they 3 products together morph into to some Goddamned super-HGH-test 250-gains train bullshit. Fucking hate that place. BB.com has companies flown into their HQ to teach them about products. You can follow their IG or Twitter and see that their employees actually lift and know what they're talking about. I'm not sure about Vitamin Shoppe b/c I've never been, but I've heard nothing but good things about them.

    EDIT: Found that bitch:

GNC will beat any vitamin shoppe price by a dollar.

Everyone always talks about bb.com. I looked there the other day, and they were going to charge $10 for shipping a jug of dextrose. I'll stick to Amazon where it's the same price and half the shipping cost.
