No worries. I need to have one anyways. Been too long not having one. Thank you for the thought.

I'm always up for trading stuff for help on stuff. Just ask Scotty. ;)

One of the things I ran across in my readings was that the AT was in less need of the fuel pump than the MTs due to the shift points. The AT won't let you get to redline whereas operator error tends to let things go to redline on the MT. I know I've seen the tach needle up over 5k and might have experienced the rev limiter.

But, all this is speculation until I pull the code and get a firmer idea of what is going on.

And, honestly, the fuel pump isn't that bad on the trucks. I'd have it done if it weren't for the rock slider on the passenger side. I think when Scott has time, we'll get it done in a couple hours by hoisting the bed up using the garage rafters.

Nick, what's your experience with the AT and getting near redline?

Sorry man, never got to meet you, but got to check out all your toys that you had at Scott's. That thread had me cracking up. I kept waiting for Scott to show up in Alaska to fix it.

i want to rehear my truck, bring it up to 4.88. what would be the best or a good set to get? i really don't know much about it, but I've noticed a drop in hp on the highway and would love to get that back.

What size are you running. Gear ratios go by tire size

I have 4.88s with 36" tires running a 2.7. I can still hit 80 mph. It's my top speed though, I don't need to have my truck any faster.

4.88s and 33s are a good combination for the low end. Higher rpms on the highway and your speedometer will be off quite a bit.
