Just get a universal CARB legal one (costs extra (double) for a stamp), and weld it in. Should be a few hundred bucks for the cat alone usually.

Thanks for advice guys. Will see what I can do! I put $50 unviversal one on my 1986 pickup back in 2007. Then they changed the laws. F CA

Would they still dyno OBDI and older cars?

And is that why they stopped selling code readers to California awhile?

During all this I called a smog shop to see if I got a cat in AZ and Installed it myself. They said no more sniff test and the AZ cat would not pass vissual as they match the engine codes to the codes on the cat. Fucking ridiculous

Had that problem once. I had a 5.8 in an F250 and the truck was not a California truck. Couldn't use a 5.8 F150 because it didn't match, couldn't use a 5.8 f250 California cat because it didn't match.

Need to buy stock in a company that makes ca compliant cats. Talk about a monopoly.

If your exhaust is 2.25" you can use the cat off my truck, it's stock original with probably 50k on it.

    Yes
It already changed and the visual is a bitch, the only CARB intakes are Airaid and TRD and no cats or headers other than stock. The guy showed me that there are not even any universal aftermarket cats certified for use on a Tacoma :/

I'm sure the fact that Rick Hendrick is on the wall has nothing to do with that.

That's ok, minimum wage is going to sky rocket here soon. Apparently minimum wage isn't for high school kids or people with no skills anymore, it's for dashiki workin at burger king for 8 years and her 5 kids. Let's all just get comfortable in out jobs, and demand a huge raise, yer refuse to be more valuable to the company.
