Eh, see my Build Thread sig link. Too many mods to list.
Too bad the impact gun that I have won't even take off my lug nuts. 125 PSI on the compressor wasn't enough to break them loose. I only had them torqued by hand to 90.

I bought a set in metric (only needed one socket) and I've broken nearly every socket in the set on the first or second use. I do still use them as drift punches so they aren't a complete waste of money, but very nearly so. Would not recommend unless you only use them for light duty.

I have a couple sets of HF tools. I take them to junkyards so if they are forgotten I dont care. I also keep one in my other vehicles for small road repairs.

My dad and I have the electric version (his is the old orange, mine is red). They are a lead brick, but they have been working fine. Dad's is about 7 years old now, but we only use them for home projects. If I'm going to do serious work I'd probably get Milwaukee, but $50 vs $220 for the piddly stuff I do...
Angle grinders are a different story. Give me 10 minutes with an HF grinder and I can show you a dead tool.

Mine have been fine for doing all the auto work on my truck :notsure:

A $5 set of tools isn't worth the gas & time to retrieve them

Yeah; I'm just trying to decipher exactly how it's proven that the gun was transferred to me by my dad (early Christmas gift). I stared at the draft of the bill this morning, the only references to gift transfer weren't very informative.

If it's anything like fishing regulations, the interpretation depends on who is reading them at the time.. All I want to do is comply with the law - all politics aside.

    Edit:

The law isn't even in effect yet.

Yes, it is in effect as of Yesterday. http://www.kirotv.com/news/news/washington-states-new-gun-background-check-law-goe/njLXT/

There isn't registration (yet) so there is no list of names with a corresponding list of guns. If it turns up at a crime scene and the cops do a trace on it, whoever bought it last at a gun shop will be the point of contact, and they send a cruiser to start asking questions. If you aren't a criminal and don't lose it, no worries. The Spokane gun show is this weekend and the guys putting the show on are going to school private sellers how to run the checks. I'm certain this will kill the resale market as nobody will want to deal with it, we'll see.

Roger.. Yeah the two local shops I just spoke to said that they truly know nothing.

However, due to the fact that the firearm was transferred before Dec. 3, I'll be in compliance with only the original bill of sale...

    Thanks for the input.

I'm gonna go burn some MIG wire. That's easier than this other stuff.

I was just talking with my buddy about this, and he made a good point. There will be "preban" and "postban" guns now. Anything that was originally sold before yesterday is essentially unpapered, and will be much easier to, uh, trade than one purchased from now on. It's a shitsammich with no bread any way you slice it.

    Hey guys and gals!

First off, let me apologize that this is one of my first posts on here, I lurk here… I'm more active on T4R.org. I'm a proud owner of a 3rd gen 4runner based out of Gig Harbor, WA (just north of the Tacoma Narrows Bridge).

I just wanted to let everyone know that I recently started a media ("sand") blasting company and am trying to drum up business. I do everything from blasting off old tools and axes, to aviation bits, to frame off jobs, even a kitchen sink (First major project was a 1969 Chevelle Malibu). My prices are typically better or the same as any of my competition within an hours drive, and I promise I care a lot more about your project than they will. I also go the extra mile and will communicate with your painters/powdercoaters and make sure the job is done how they need.

No job is too small, and so long as it fits into my shop (30x70x20-25ft ceilings) it isn't too big either. I don't do "shop minimum" charges ($40-80 most other places).

Anyway, as a wheeling and toyota fan-boy, hopefully you'll consider me, or try to throw some business my way! Any word of mouth would be appreciated.

    Right on, good luck.

Last time in the shipyard we went through 30,000 pounds of Black Beauty...

    What media do you use?

I'll point anyone your way if they're looking for blasting - my shop and most of my fab work is based around Whatcom County, though.

Go sandblast your bunghole. You want to drum up business here, be a part of the community. If you do good work, word will spread without you spamming threads with bs.
