The second pic makes much more sense.

I know what you're saying. I had to figure out a way to extend the LOP on my SPR build I went with an ACS. I wanted to go with a fixed stock, but the max LOP on the MOE fixed stock is ~13" and feels small. The A2 stock offers 0 cheek space and can be hard to find. the ACS comes at 15" extended and has a ton of cheek space. I didn't want to go with another Magpul stock, I didn't want to go with a collapsible stock, and I didn't want to shell out the dough for a PRS... so here I am with an ACS.

I do like your A2 looking build. How does that P-223 shoot? I'm torn between which scope I want to buy and I have considered a P-223 for the time being so I can shoot the damn thing. (I've been slow building this one for 2 years)

Is that a stock PBR or the modified version with the bottom vent for faster delivery?

    :notsure:

Nope, a stock PBR has the standard vent in the top, just like every other guy out there with a "can". The modified versions have one at the bottom as well, so when the top vent opens, it delivers at an accelerated rate, there by increasing velocity and a much higher rate of feed. I believe its called "shotgunning".

Must be regional because I've never seen a PBR in my area that doesn't have this 'special' vent you speak of. I was always under the impression that's just how one drinks a PBR. I guess you learn something every day.

Nope, you need to self modify, with a key or knife. You do understand what I am talking about? Right?

Shotgunning a beer you need to....nevermind.

I sold the whole rifle/scope package to him. and bought him a Harris bipod and some 20 round PMAGs and he loves it. he got one of those JP Silent captured buffer springs for it. fun gun. i bought an Arsenal SLR-107 with the money. (and now im selling both of my AKs and AR to buy a SGL-31)

Harden your bark, there are storms on the horizon.
The Evo is not as attractive (other than msrp) as the Sig MPX pistol to me. Supposedly released in October, but I've yet to come across any in stock. I would be however very intrigued if CZ would drop a civi model of the Bren.

No way man. The stock adjustable side folder is the cat's ass!

It's like a G36c and an MP5k had a lovechild and all the right traits were passed along.

The MPX has been on my radar for quite some time now but the price-point and pre-release confusion has left the door open for something like the Scorpion. At $849 the Scorpion is less than half the MSRP and the 30rd mags are 1/4 the price at only $20 versus $80. On top of that they offer the Sig in exactly the configuration I want w/o all the confusion that the Sig MPX is coming with. I've got a line of like 4 or 5 models and the LE price sheet has even more models not available in that. IMO Sig should've been first to market with a simple pistol & then pushed the other models out over time. I'll probably still get a MPX but if I can get the Sig, the stock, optic, accessories, mags, cases of ammo AND SBR it for less than the cost of just the Sig pistol in stock form.... that's a pretty big difference for a weapon system that's now FAR superior in actual use when you compare apples to apples for price.

Either way, I'll probably be SBRing 3-4 pistols in the next year or so.

I'm wondering what calibers they will be releasing them in, I'm guessing only 9mm, but if they release one in .45 I may just have to get one and convert it to .460 Rowland. Otherwise, it's gonna be a 9mm for me. And SBRing it is a very strong possibility

Just loaded up the M1a and 460xvr in the Tacoma for the weekend. G/F's dad finally asked if I wanted to hunt hogs with him at his ranch. This comes a week after I asked for his daughters hand in marriage lol. I know he carries an AR and Colt Python so figured I should be equally armed hahaha
