    I am having some issues with getting the tape to stick. I cleaned the area with a rag and let it sit for a couple hours and it wont even hold the weight of the phone.

    You have to clean it with a degreaser of sorts. Get rid of all that armorall, grease, window cleaner, etc and it will stick. If you have tried already and failed, you will most likely have to peel off the used 3m tape and put new stuff on. It doesn't like to stick twice.
