Morning Paul, glad you had a safe charter. I am hoping and praying this is good news and not the opposite. Please keep us updated as you find out any information. Thank you for your updates.

Good morning Ken and Rob. I too hope the news concerning Charlie's medical condition is positive. He is a stand up nice guy and deserves a big break.

I have been feeling run down myself lately and trying to cut down on what I choose to do. Slept in 9 hours last night and feel pretty good this morning. Going to read and watch a movie today.

Jim the pups are looking really good.

Good morning Rob. At work today? Going to be in the 50's with rain here today. I still have to put away the patio furniture and winterize the pond. Maybe tomorrow. ;)

 for Charlie and his family.

Paul, Thanks for the information. Get some rest and please when you hear anything keep us updated. Thanks.

Morning Tom, Some days you just have to listen to your body :) and when it says I need a break, we have to listen. With all you do, you deserve a day of rest. Enjoy the reading and let me know what movie you watched and if it was any good. Take it easy my friend.

    Morning Rob,
A big X2 and prayers  for Charlie.

Yep, at work but it's slow tonight ... can't load broke planes. 3 days off starting about 2.5 hrs from now.

I need to go shoping for the electrical connectors and cabling to complete the winch rig for my flatbed trailer.

 We may be getting some freezing rain this weekend by the forecast ... hope not; that stuff sucks. :( Once we get the first snow, I much prefer it to stay 25F or colder. But, if I could control that, I suppose I'd be a very rich man.

    Ken:
I picked up the 3 Bourne movies at BJ's club on Blu ray for $5 each. I also have a Netflix movie around here somewhere.

What wheel and axle set up are you using for the flatbed? Post up a pic when finished if you would. I am sure you will solder any splices to the connector wiring.

I still have a hitch to install on my Tacoma.

:woot:for 3 days off...raining and damp chill here at 44*. If I could it would be sunny and 75*...but alas it's a good day to set up the Christmas tree for me.

Loved the first 2 Bourne movies but haven't seen the 3rd. Let me know how it is Tom, appreciate it. Put your feet up, a hot coffee (or beverage of your choice), get the remote and enjoy Tom :D. I got 2 Ice Age movies at Walmart for $2. each for when the grandkids come over. Helps to keep them occupied :).

It's a tilting flat bed Kaufman single axle. I'll look for a pic ... we already welded a receiver tube to it and the winch will slide in and secure with a hitchpin. Designing it to be removable ... our purpose is mainly to winch up animals if/when we get pulled for Winter nuisance highway corridor hunts. Nothing (gutpile/carcass) can be left behind on those hunts, so it's much easier to recover the entire animal back to Randy's garage and go from there. Yes, we will solder all our connections. ;) We'd been talking about adding one to it for a while now; then Cabelas put one on sale in their pre-black Friday sale ad. Got it for almost half-price. :)

It's the same trailer I use to transport the Ranger.

EDIT: Once I get the wiring figured out, I'll take and post some pics of the whole set-up.

I think I need to learn to weld and use a cutting torch. I could use a trailer at times.

    Gulf Stream .... :)
I had a chance to fly a citation once and it was the most amazing thing I had done In the air. Point the nose up and pull the throttle and it doesn't slow down.lol...

Think of Charlie all the time.
Got my e-mail back after some issues and he had sent me a few. I wish I could have answered before he went in.
We can only hope that he is safe and on the mend.

The wife and I have been sick for the past month. The flu virus mutated and the shot I got is ineffective against it. Wonderful....

New slop storm here. Need to clear stuff before it freezes.
At least I have the weekend off.
Kids want to get the trees tomorrow.
    Not looking forward to it.
All I want to do is rest.......

Arthritis sucks Sue. I have a new hip because of it. The rest of me is not far behind.
I hope everyone has a good weekend.

 Neither Randy nor I weld, but we have a friend that does. He's the same guy that went on the second hunt with us in September when we got the spike fork; part of our network. We tend to share equipment and gear around our group and help each other out. ;)

Unless your going to do it a lot. Just buy one.
Buy the time you get the equipment and learn to trust your welding, it's not worth it.
I built race cars with full cages back in the 70's. Got equipment and now I use it once a year if I'm lucky.
If your going to build lots of projects then go for it. But, be realistic in your plans.

Good advice. I would probably take a class at the local Junior college first to see what I am up against and if I can develop the skills to use the tools.
