    Well I hope it works for you. Can't even imagine that ALL OF THE TIME! My dad has been getting these random spells of ringing. He's always worked in manufacturing/construction so really noisy areas. He wears earplugs alot but now gets these spells and they're usually triggered by loud noises. To get them to go away he has to put the big earmuffs on to knock out all ambient noises and it seems to help.

    I did get the stove...and its taken up all of the space under my tree!

    Hurry and find a runner. I needs 1st gen.
    I would try and talk you into my LC as it is an amazing off road vehicle and very nice but, I could not in good conscious sell it to you. The mpg is much like flushing a toilet when accelerating.
    There was a very nice 1st gen listed on the 5th here on TW. Guy is from SLC and seems to be a very nice responsible guy from our conversations.

    I know the Runners aren't as good on gas as my Toy but I think I'm ready to start looking at something newer. I don't honestly need a truck, I just need 4x4 and clearance. And I would like to be able to fit more than one passenger in there at times too.
    Help me find a Runner! I want low miles (like under 60k), probably can't afford newer than a '10, not red or black, can't have had pets or been smoked in.

    And the earmuffs that my dad wears are ones that I got for him a couple years ago. All of this woodworking stuff is loud - band saw, lathe, router, table saw - and I thought they'd be better for him than the little foam in ear plugs

    Oh, it will be soon...yippee!

    I was wondering why a 4 runner would get worse gas mileage than a PU truck. It must have pretty tall gears in the rear diff.

    Twins! Well, mine isn't nearly as bad as yours it sounds like, but I have really poor hearing (almost none) in my left ear with constant tinnitus... I can't stand silence because I just hear ringing... I have to always have a background noise, usually music.

    I hope the procedure works out for you!!:pray:
    ^^^This. haha A lot of people get SUVs so they can throw their pets in the back and not feel bad about it. My wife wants to get an Escape over a pickup or car for this exact reason.
    They are a touch heavier since they have the full body instead of a light bed, and if she goes newer it will like have a bigger V6 (or even V8). Though the mileage difference probably won't be significant I imagine.

    Have you considered a RAV4? Brandan likes his. I drove one as a loaner when the Highlander was in getting the rock protector stuff put on; seemed like a solid and capable little SUV. :notsure:

    I have regular old tinnitus, and it drives me a little nuts sometimes. Can't imagine how yours must feel. Hope the surgery/procedure works for you.
