    Good Morning all.
    FJ's are just all around nice. My son bought one a couple years ago, installed an OME lift and absolutely loves it.
    I am interested in knowing why Toyota decided to halt production and leave the Wrangler all by itself.

    Sales only declined in 2007 after first year in production(economic consequence?). Yet, not over produced, Toyota was very careful to maintain production at a level not to flood the market and to keep demand parallel with supply.
    Kudos for Toyota able to reintroduce a line year prior to eco fail and still succeed.

    MPG... CAFE standards are based on wheelbase and the standards for short wheel base rigs are a joke... they had to ditch the regular cab tacoma for the same reason.

    Rumor has it 2016 is the last year of the 4runner as well.

    I kind of doubt it too, but we'll see.

    Just looking at the CAFE standards, they are based on your footprint (track width x wheelbase) so I forsee the next gens getting longer and/or wider.
