Yes because FSU is not a top seed
The selection committee will seed the two semifinal games to prevent the top seed from playing in a "road" environment.

The No. 1 seed would not be placed at a competitive disadvantage from a crowd perspective and will be placed in the semifinal bowl closest to its campus, if possible. So FSU goes to New Orleans instead of Pasadena.

    That's from this link

    http://espn.go.com/college-football...ll-playoff-system-redefine-how-bowls-selected

I do believe Chubb will be heisman contender one day

I don't really care either way. But last night Herbie said something to the effect of (Not quoting exactly):
"Let's clear somthing up. Whoever is number 1 gets to decide which location they go to, so either way Bama will be in Nola and Oregon will play in Pasadena."

If he plays like he did this year, he'll be a Heisman contender next year. He needs a QB that can take pressure off of him and make people respect the pass so he's not running against an 8 or 9 person box every play. The kid started 6 games, played a signifcant role in 7, and was SEC Offensive Freshman of the Week 5 times. Over 1200 yards...after only averaging 6 carries a game in the first 5 games.

I hope so. We'll see. Probably be like every other year and there will be huge expectations and we'll lose to the worst teams in the conference.

Future looks bright, though. From what I've read, we have the #2 recruiting class so far (until Sweat commits to FSU...then we'll fall back to 3), and 2016's class is already looking pretty incredible. We should have a hell of a defense the next few years if all these DBs and DEs pan out and don't get kicked off the team. 6 DEs committed for next year, 4 of which are 4*, the other 2 are 3*.

Gary Patterson, Dan Mullen, and Art Briles are all more deserving of the award. Patterson turned his team around from 4-8 to 11-1. Mullen took MSU, a perennial trash heap to being second in the SEC west. Art Briles has developed Baylor, another perennial dumpster fire, into an 11 win team. Urban Meyer had the easiest path of these 4 coaches, even with having qb injuries. OSU is a historic program in a crappy conference. Whoopty do.

Hope not. Local media would have. A field day with that, Heisman and possible NC

but meyer after a loss of potential Heisman goes with a freshman, he develops into a Heisman candidate loses him then goes to a third string and destroys a ranked team in his first start on a big stage. Loss of noah spence and dontre Wilson.

Still not as impressive as the others posted. It's OSU. They're supposed to win. Not that impressive.

TCU, Baylor, and MSU were not supposed to be as good as they are. Those are more impressive jobs with coaching. Keep hopping over Meyer and OSU if you want, his coaching job this year wasn't as impressive as Patterson's, Briles's, or Mullen's.

OSU won what is probably the weakest power 5 conference. That's not enough for a COTY award
