What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

Hmm, how much did you have to use?

 

I only used 2 cans. Ive heard a lot of people using more like 5 or 6, but 2 seemed like it was enough. I did everywhere I could get to on the frame, the cross members, rear axel, and shaft and some extra where my sliders are welded.

I was looking at the kits that start at at one gallon. So that should be more than enough!

For real. Mine was nearly that clean when I first bought it. Now that it hasn't ever been in a garage for the past 2 years, it's getting a little rusty...

 

I need to grind mine down a bit an then paint it, but I got no time

 

Yeah, that's my plan right before next Winter. It's just going to have to make through this Winter since it's too late for me to start the project of grinding, painting, then fluid filming.

 

I got the frame under the rear wheel well but that's it. I really want to do my rear axle. It looks so bad...

 

I kept putting it off... My sliders are bad. But my frame just has some minor surface rust and my axle is doing great.

 

Is 200 bucks a good deal for a set of used fiberwerx fenders or should i offer this guy less than that?
Also hows the fitments of fiberwerx fenders? If anyone hs information on them itd be greatly appreciated

Don't know specifically about fiberwerx but my experience with glass is they all fit like shit. Lot of sanding and test fitting is the best you can do. Mine aren't perfect but they work

My McNeil line up pretty well. My first set of 4.5s lined up perfect. These 6.5s are a little off by the door but hardly noticeable. Also had hanneman a while back and those fit like shit

Georgia doesn't get snow and neither does Louisiana (where PO lived) so not sure why its bad. I guess the swamps maybe

 

hmm. i stand corrected. I know there is a deicing spray...maybe we just use less of a % than most places?

 

I try to stay on base as much as possible during the Winter. The base uses clay material while the county uses salt...
