I opted for the heavy duty crossbar upgrade to support the weight of the RTT plus occupants. Once I get the RTT, I will test it and decide on if I want a couple more crossbars. At that time, I would probably order the modified wind deflector Zach designed to mount a 40" bar on the rack.

Yeah the options are really endless and driving me insane lol One more question..Did you have it powdercoated or painted it yourself?

Yea, I'm glad that RTT GB came along when it did. I was eventually going to get the CabRac, but I need a rack to use the RTT
I painted it myself. The HD bars come with black anodizing so I just had to paint the side rails and deflector. Might eventually get them Line-X'd or something similar depending on how much they get abused

First off, great build! Downstate IL here, a suburb of St. Louis. I stumbled onto it while I was looking at the avec light bars. I want a 30" and plan on mounting in the same place as you. I've read that the rigid mounts push the light forward in the opening some. Do you think that it would be worth it? Or just mount like you did and call it a day?

Also do you have any night shots of the bar on only?

Also where odd you find the plugs to go in the license plate holes?

Thanks for the kind words  The RI mounts do push the LED bar out a little too far for my taste. For me, I just wanted something a little cleaner looking and to save $$$ The way I mounted it is fine for me. Sturdy and simple.

    30" bar ONLY

I ordered 2 sets of THESE; 1 for the front and one for the rear. I had 2 extra screws left over so I put them in the holes the dealership made and popped the covers on over the screw heads. I was going to color match them but I think they look great just how they are!

    Appreciate the info!

My next feat is to move my cb to the console like you have it. I might hit you up if I get stumped on how to do it .

Awesome build man! Looking to do a lot of the same things you've done with your rig to mine so i'll probably be lurking your build for awhile, hope you don't mind :spy:

Oh and i noticed somewhere that you'd be selling your 20" bar behind the grill at some point so if you end up wanting to let it go I'd be more than happy to take it off your hands.

    Once again sweet build!!

I think you came out on top over me..

    Thank you sir!

    Black Friday weekend summary:

    1) ARB CKMA12 compressor
    2) ARB Tire inflation kit 170302
    3) BAMF passenger CB Mount (to mount the warning flag without removing bed cover)
    4) 4x Blitzpro 6LZ light bars $10/piece is hard to beat
    5) Angle grinder with cut off and grinding wheels from HFT

Really wanted to add on (hopefully can be bought after the new year):

    1) SOS Concept shackle flip
    2) plethora of OTRATTW switches for IGGY's switch panel GB
    3) inverter
    4) LED fog light upgrade (RI duallys or similar)
    5) Weatherhood for the RTT
    6) 40" LED BAR

Reasons I could not afford add ons:

    1) RTT shipping payment still due
    2) Maxtrax GB I am putting together is going through
    3) Christmas shopping for everyone
    4) various other bills
    5) Pile of "to-be-installed" items is growing and I didn't want it to get too out of hand

I wish I had more exciting updates but for now, that's it. Hope to have some wheeling videos up soon so be on the look out for that! Plan is to go get some goodies installed this weekend since a shop will be available to me. Just wishing I had more money at this time :pout:

I pick up 4 blitzpros to go with the ones I already had. I now have like 10 to wire between my truck and my trailer.

How do you like them? I was, honestly, skeptical but, again, for $10/piece it was hard to say no lol

I'm about the purchase the same rack from a guy who lives near me. I'm wanting to do the same set up as Zach as with the 30" light. I. Between a 40" and 30", why are you going with a 40" if you don't mind me asking and where/how do you plan on mounting it?

I wish I was that lucky!

I guess you could say more light. But I've always liked how the 40's look up there. Started thinking I was gonna buy a 50, but that's overkill. Plan on doing the same thing with the 40" that Zach did with the 30". And if that doesn't work out, I saw this in his rack thread..
    ImageUploadedByTapatalk1417574491.230779.jpg

I will have to decide on a bar first, order it, do a lot of mock up and testing, then see if I will be ordering a modified deflector from him.

Got some Black Friday goodies delivered last Friday and I spent most of the day Saturday and Sunday installing them:

    ARB CKMA12 compressor:

My only gripe is that ARB doesn't have a bracket you can purchase or that comes with the compressor to mount it in that location..so, I had to ghetto fab a bracket. That took a couple hours Sunday and I had to make some adjustments to the PA speaker for the CB. The bracket that holds the CB down broke and it also broke the mount attached to the PA off so there is nothing holding the PA down. I have ordered a new PA and I will cut out the old one, cut the new one and splice into the existing wiring and mount the PA to the right of the windshield washer fluid canister behind the passenger headlight. It still works, I just don't trust it being shoved behind the compressor and also it being cracked  just an annoyance at this point but I do have OBA :D

BAMF passenger side CB antenna mount:

Got it painted while at the shop Saturday and installed. This was purchased/mounted for mounting the whip/warning flag without having to always remove the bed cover; which is always such a pain, and if I can avoid it, I will. Still have to test mounting it and I will likely tie it down to the roof rack while driving; still have to test.

    DIY Rock light kit:
Don't have any pics yet but I can try taking some tonight and post them tomorrow. Not sure that I like them yet. I will have to test them out how they are mounted now and may end up going a different route. For now, they're awesome!

I SHOULD be getting my Maxtrax delivered today! :D The mounting pins for them are on back order so, unfortunately, I will not be able to take pics of how I will be mounting them. Maybe some teasers

Iggy's switch panel for his GB he ran should be coming tomorrow. Can't wait to get that installed and working. Need to spend countless hours deciding what switches I want in there
