My truck feels "unstable"

    my swaybar has been in the tool shed for the past year and still drives fine at highway speeds. I didn't really notice any change in body roll before or after.

    People delete their sway bar for more articulation when off roading, there's a difference. I don't think this is the case here. When you have 3" of lift up front your OEM dimensions are being compromised by new coilovers, thus to perfect an alignment you must install new UCAs.

    Pretty much stock with some crap welded to it.
    it happened before the sway bar was removed i dont think thats the issue

    I am with Texas on this one.The alignment shops may tell you the caster is within spec, and it may be but those specs are for unlifted trucks.

    If you have more that 2" of lift and are still on stock UCAs, at least a portion of the problem is right there. You really need at least 2.5 degrees of positive caster or you will get exactly what you have described. My guess is you have 0-1 degree at most.

    Also, how much air pressure is in the new tires. If its more than 40 psi, that will contribute also.

    I have Camburg, with the unibal type joint. But most aftermarket UCAs will add at least 2 degrees of caster back in.

    More caster means a heavier steering feel, a little more steering effort and less wander. Especially at highway speeds.

    Did it happen before the lift? Loose steering and lack of caster are two different things with different solutions but similar symptoms.

    I have never driven the truck without a lift I replaced the spacer lift with my ome kit and it did it with the spacer kkt aswell

    There's a good chance you may have 2 issues. The 1/2" of steering play "both ways" is a bunch as is 3" of lift. Lack of tracking and steering return to center from insufficient caster will also be exaggerated any steering slop.
    Also consider that the "advertised" lift of any aftermarket spring is approximate and most folks do not have a clue as to how much lift they actually have.
