    I bought my Tacoma with the purpose of using it to get lumber, and haul dirt. It has totally surpassed my expectations. I was thinking I should paint it orange and paint "Home Depot Warrior" on the sides of it.

    Sorry to burst your bubble but if you refer to page 226 of the 98 Tacoma Owner's manual you will see 4wd X-Cab model is good for 1100 lbs rated load with 3 occupants. 1/2 a ton last time I checked is only 1,000 lbs. If you take an average adult at 200 lbs that equates to 1700 lbs rated cargo.
