Why do people go with co2 over just compressed air (tanks) for filling tires? I'm at harbor freight debating picking up a tank right now

 

Way more tire fill ups with CO2.
1500+ vs maybe 200.

edit: That's volume not fillups

 

Co2 loses less pressure in temp changes compared to oxygen

 

I think you have that confused with Nitrogen.

 

Okay, I finally got the code for my Check Engine light. It's P0136. We've swapped between like 3 o2 sensors in the past 5k miles. Any ideas?

 

USING GOOD SENSORS? have u checked continuity between the wires and the ecm? id be checking the heater circuit of the sensor as well for continuity. and this is the down stream 02 snesor youve been replacing correct?

 

Yeah, we've been using brand new sensors each time (my dad has it made with Napa.) No we have not checked the wires etc. And no, we've replaced the one by the right front wheel.

 

General rule is to replace both sensors if you do one.

Who else had EBC brakes?

This spring I put EBC sport rotors on and 6000 series Green Stuff pads. Performance was a big improvement, but now wondering about life-span.

Anyways, just started hitting the wear indicators with about 13k on them. Seems way low, or is this a given with the performance improvement?

 

seems low seeing how I'm getting 40-50k with the parts store pads. Could just be your driving habits.
Curious about that though, I'm looking at getting the same setup my self.

 

Could be. I never ride the brakes and do a fair amount of engine braking though.

 

Could be the type of pad with the rotors. Not sure though.

 

taller, heavier tires will wear pads faster, but 13k does seem low... maybe that's the trade off. How have they been working for you?

 

Wow... thanks for the insight. I'm probably due for new rotors and pads in the spring and was talking to you about your set up.

 

You would think EBC rotors and EBC pads would work well togeather.

That's true. That roughly 13K was all on 33"s with quite a bit of off-roading. That's why I got them in the first place, as I was unhappy with the braking performance with the larger tires.

As I said the performance was a huge improvement. Way more braking power. Never had them fade driving in the mountains. I really like them, with the now possible exception of the pad life.

You're still welcome to take my truck for a spin in you want an idea.
