I don't think you're seeing the point. He needs more than just dinky tube steps. The functions of sliders over tube steps has been listed 3 times so there's no point in me saying it again.

There is nothing indecisive about it, the reason I don't like permanent mods is incase I need to sell the truck. Firstly your buyer won't want your custom BS and secondly you won't get any money out of it. I know you've seen part outs in the marketplace section and there is a reason for them.

Weld on vs bolt on isn't the question because the bolt ons are strong. The only reason I can think of is that you don't think he will use them offroad? Which I addressed in my last post.

Bolt ons are really getting to be almost as strong as weld ons, i genuinely do not see the point in welding them anymore

And even if I were to start hardcore wheeling my truck (highly unlikely), you can just modify bolt ons to weld ons anyway? :notsure:

I also just like to pretend I'm a mall crawler. So bolt on sliders are a must

For wheeling 100% agree with Ben. For what sam is talking about I don't see it mattering? Or am I wrong.

Now a different question do people with BL have to modify the slidders to be up higher or do they just sit lower?

I'm wrong because I would choose bolt on sliders before weld ons. Huh, I guess it's true, people do learn something new everyday

You can leave them lower like they are when the BL is installed or you can order a custom angle from some places

I don't think lifting with a hilift jack on nerf bars would be a great idea either...

tom wheels the fuck out of his bolted on sliders, and I've personally watched boltons bounce trucks off hilariously placed trail rocks without a problem

depends on how they're mounted IMO. if you're fine with the extra weight of a quality bolt-on, same smell

Perhaps for those who don't want to grind the frames paint off. I'd probably prefer boltons because of the rust probs our frames already have.
