    Wow, these guys act like they've never wheel'd before, I thought they were supposed to be offroad veterans. Guess not. Plus it's like except for super jeep the rest of them have never driven their rigs before.

    Damn that's a great way to snap a winch line and injure someone. This show is showing non-wheelers and newbies the worst things to do.

    Anyone notice that the Rover guys that were all butt-hurt over the tree damage were the only ones that didn't use a tree saver when they hooked up their winch? Even the uber-redneck types jumped out of the truck with a tree saver. :rolleyes:

    I also thought it was pretty sad that the Super Heep on 44s couldn't even make it through the hole the FJ50 on 37" Boggers already blew open.

    The guy driving the Rover also doesn't know how to drive a stick shift, he's always fighting to find a gear. The super heep has Irok's on it, those a re great tires for rocks but suck in the mud, the FJ50 has new bogger's on it and you can't beat bogger's when it comes to digging through mud.

    The one thing I do like about the show is showing different types of terrain: mountains, hills, mud, water crossing, dunes, etc.

    True dat. Still, you'd think with 7 inch tire advantage, the Heep would have at least made it through a hole that was already blow open. I don't necessarily think IROKs would suck in the mud though. They are basically a Swamper with sipping (and directional tread depending on the IROK), and before Interco introed the Bogger, Swampers were the most aggressive street-legal mud tire you could get (I certainly have no complaints about mine, except in sand ;)). Granted, nothing street legal beats a Bogger for mud, but with a 7 inch tire advantage, I expected the Heep to do better.

    However, once the heep got buried in that hole, nobody else was going though it either. I kinda doubt the FJ50 would have been able to make it a second time (without picking a different line well away from those 44 ruts).

    Ain't that the truth. :D I was thinking that myself. At the same time though, I kinda like that they don't have high-dollar insane rigs on there. It means that a lot of us could easily go out and do the same trails (and probably do better). I think the Odd Green Taco could have done everything those guys have done in the first couple episodes without breaking a sweat...well, if I had a winch for that mudhole. Looked a little deep for my 33s, but if I was the first one through, I might have had a chance.

    I think they picked beaters because they wanted them to break down on a daily basis. Note: the nicest rig in the field is being driven by the token chick...that 'Runner looks too capable to have made the cut if not for that.

    This show would be a lot better with a good bunch of ppl with good rigs like the ppl that run and participate the ultimate adventure every year from 4wd magazine. Polite, professional, respectful and informative.

    This show makes me think smoking is what i should do when wheeling now!
