From what I've read the schools in San Marcos and Escondido are pretty good. Is that true?

I plan on buying a house in one of these areas after deployment and quality of schools is part of that equation.

My daughter went to school in Escondido and it was horrible. We even transferred her to a better school within Escondido and it was crap. There is 2 good schools in that district, but you must live right around them. I sold my house in Escondido and moved to Eastlake/ Chula Vista/ Otay area, much better schools. San Marcos also has great schools, if it wasn't so far from the base, I would have moved there.

That little 4banger gets it. The last weekend I went out we had it in the bottom of a sand eye. Forward 10', back up 5' to a rock, forward 10' backup etc... But I didn't have to walk home. haha

Chance of snow in the mountains this Friday and Saturday. The pine valley trail should get fun to do

    Will do.

Thanks everyone for the school info. It's always good to get on the ground Intel vice Trulia's school rating scale.

Pine valley is a town east of San Diego on interstate 8. There's a fire road south of the freeway exit. Very easy trail but the weather condition would make it a bit more exciting.

Gabe they eating you alive in there, but it just the internet.

Turbo or supercharger is the solution to all 4 cylinders. Cheaper solution. You get it to the desert and can't even use all the power. Plus still good mileage as long as you don't go larger than 33

You've got that right! Back in 2010, I went to one of the only trail runs I've gone to with the TW group to the Pine Valley Trail and it was a blast! Relatively short, but fun trail while snowing.

Has anybody in the Chula Vista area installed a 30" LED bar into the opening of the front bumper?

I bought one from OKLEDLIGHTS and am trying to figure out exactly what hardware to buy so I don't have to make several trips to the hardware store.

Is that a link to the dezert ranger thread or something. I have some valid points that would answer some questions from experience, but I'm afraid what they would do to a ford over there.

All I know Gabe is we rocked super, didn't break s***, and yours drove home. Half those trucks probably don't run. I would rather use my 6" than sit at home with 18".

This is the first time I ever looked at it. Just has a different vibe than the rest of TW. Maybe just a few pages and the rest are different.:notsure:
