    I have the following setup:

    3RZFE (2003) with Auto
    K&N Intake
    Doug Thorley Header
Magnaflow Primary and Seconday High Flow Cats
    Regear from 4.10 to 4.88

Best improvement on the truck has been the regearing!!

Next modification is the LCE Supercharger!

I ordered an LCE throttle body since mine is full of crud. Even after I cleaned it there is still a lot I couldn't get out. Supposedly the LCE flows 10% more air than stock.

I may need to clean or replace my idle air control valve (IAV) as well to cure my idle issues. At stop lights my truck will idle from 2000-3000rpm until I blip the throttle and it drops down to a 1500rpm idle.

I'm interested to see if the big bore throttle body helps out. I think it will help in mid to higher rpm power. I

f the IACV is sticking it could be causing the issue. Also check your vacuum lines and coolant temp sensor

I've been doing some research and it seems like a 50% chance that if I clean my IACV it will be fine for a few years. I'm probably going to replace it and move on to the next issue. Lol

I will take your advice and recheck my vacuum lines and coolant temp sensor. I've been out of town so I've been unable to work on the truck for awhile.

Built for maximum low end torque, tooter II.VII intake manifold spacer, LCE long tube header, Injen long tube intake, 2,900 rpm torque peak.
The dyno charts show the short tube DT header raises the torque peak from 3,800 rpms to 4,000 rpms...

...while the long tube LCE header lowers the torque peak from 3,800 to 3,150 rpms.

That makes the short tube DT header better for high rpm performance...

...and the long tube LCE header better for low rpm pull.

Swapping in the LCE throttle body and new idle air control valve tomm. Hopefully this fixes my idling issue.

Toyota had the idle air control valve in stock!! Here is a picture of the LCE throttle body next to my stock one that was toast. The truck is way more response now but it may have been needing a clean throttle body and functional idle air control valve.

I'm still chasing that elusive smog certificate but the truck is running great now. As long as I keep the revs high the truck hauls the mail pretty well. My LT kit can only handle so much speed thru the whoops anyway. At this point the limiting factor is driving skill and shock tuning.

However, for the $$ I have in this I could have paid for a 3.4L V-6 engine swap. Just something for anyone to think about before they put a ton of $$ in a 2.7L.

Thought I would update this thread. My 3RZ passed smog with no issues and runs like a top. I have been thinking about re-doing the exhaust since it is rusting away. I just bought a Tundra axle with 5.29 gears so that should give the truck a wake up in the acceleration department. It wont go in until Jan/Feb 2016 so it will be awhile to see the results.

Should I go with 2.5" exhaust for this since I am not boosted?
