What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

You said you had them in the window. Behind the glass? On the bed? Just curious to see where you put them and how you mounted them. I like the lights on the receive hitch, but if I change the bumper (it's chrome...has to go) then I'll need another option.

 

Nah...they're just mounted in the Pelfrey rear bumper. I did however contemplate getting the light bar mount they make with tabs to mount extra lights, but not going there for now... Looking at bed racks next...

 

This approach would move to a plate bumper if you went that route.

 

I'm just hoping that the body shop can make it look factory. Does not look like it will be an easy job.

Spider halos. I hate them tho. I took the blue LED's out and replaced them with amber bulbs which i think looks much better. And the halos dont work any more.

 

Gotta admit, my first reaction was this...

Make it look factory? Just have them dent the other side also.



Really sorry that happened, it's not a super hard repair there - you should be good to go. It isn't cheap to repair for sure, it's a lot of work, but not super difficult. Look forward to repair pics.

 

Halos never work for very long. I think they look cool, but so many people get suckered into them and they don't last for shit.

 

At least the cheap ones.. Seems like the people that do their own retrofit seem to have their halos work much longer

 

Thanks. bottom fabric is black felt from the fabric store. Top stuff is the speaker box carpet they sell/use at Best Buy.

Thanks. The bars on the front and rear bed are N-Fab light bars which were all a part of the TForce package.

I tried to go from zero to f'd-up when I knocked off the stock bulb in the housing and then immediately dropped it on the floor when I knocked it out. Easiest mod ever... Working from home...the mail comes and then you get to play!

 

Looks like the bottom of the console, very well done. How do you lift it though to place the pistol in and out? Cloth tab, finger hole, wedge a screwdriver to pry it up?

 

I like it, but why do you have a giant hole in your bed?
