post coilover install Q's

Well, i got my SAW coilovers installed and i have a major (i think it is camber) issue (top of wheel tilted out) I know that TC UCA's are supposed to fix this but i don't really want to drop the coin for those when i am possibly going to do a SAS in the next year or so. So i guess my question is, is there a cheaper way to correct this? I have seen some lift kits come with a crossmember replacement that i assume is to correct this but idk. Was also wondering if the only thing that will alleviate the stress on my CVs is a diff drop? Thanks

Did you get an alignment after the install?

If after the alignment you still have the positive camber and the adjustment is maxed out for camber and you don't want to buy arms, only thing you can do is lower the coilovers down to bring the camber back into speck. The more you lower the coilovers, the better your positive camber will get.

 

It has not been aligned yet but i did not know u could adjust the camber, how does it adjust?thanks for the input man

dont crank the CO's down so much and get an alignment done by a shop, dont try to do it yourself

 

I have them set at 2 1/2, Ihave to have 2 1/2 to fit my 33's, so i should get the front diff drop?

 

There are other cheaper alternatives to ucas than the total chaos ones. Camburg has a uca that utilizes the stock ball joint.

 

The camburgs arent made to correct alignment, it says that in one of the suspension stickys

 

so getting it aligned should take care of most of the camber problem?

According to Camburg's website it says it helps give you caster.

 

is short on caster better than bad camber?

the camburg UCA's will correct alignment probs. mine did. but get it aligned first, then see about buying some UCA's
