    I went from a 2011 4x4 DCSB V6 O/R manual, to a 2015 4x4 DCSB V6 O/R auto. Both silver.

    2011 pro's:

    overhead comp. temp
    forward bedside cubbies
JBL w/subwoofer sounded better than the current Entune
exhaust note sounded better. Not sure why, perhaps due to having chrome tip?
    seat material seemed thicker/more rugged
    more fun to drive
better for mountain driving here in Colorado

    2015 pro's:

quality of paint seems to be better, also silver color is richer
option on turn signal light switch for dtrl
black carpeting doesn't show the dirt like the grey
armrests are vinyl, instead of fabric
    seats are water resistant
no more cigarette lighter. two power outlets instead of one
    one more overhead storage bin
much better gas mileage, approx. 75mi avg. per tank more
like the look of the front end better
like how I can use Bluetooth instead of needing usb wire to play music off of phone, Can also listen to and read texts on stereo
No more loose feeling in front end/steering wheel when going over undulated bumps (that drove me crazy)

    Summary:

I just got tired of shifting in my older age. 6 speed is/was ok, however reverse is/was way to high for backing trailer/camper.

I got tired of shifting all the time too.
    Traffic sucks with a manual.

Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
I also got tired of shifting, love my auto Tacoma. Trucks are no fun with manuals, I can see why most manufacturers don't offer them anymore. Small sporty cars are where manuals excel in my opinion, but a truck or SUV has to have an automatic for me.

I was never a fan of the Orange lights gives it a dated looked. I feel the white is more refined. I also was never find of the silver radio cover with stubble molded into it.

    I test drove a 15 and my 11 when I bought the 11.

The only thing I liked better and wish my 11 had was the touch screen radio with blue tooth. But I overcame that with a 50 dollar blue tooth adapter. I can play music through it and use my phone.

I did like the front end better on the 15....but saving little over 10k for a lightly used 11 to get the front end and a

I am DONE with manuals in my daily drivers. After injuring my knee at work 10 years ago it's not as fun as it used to be. I still have a 1999 Ranger 4x2 4 cylinder reg cab that's a standard, but it is only driven occasionally.

I probably should have tried the wire mod with the '11, it probably would have saved some clutch abuse.

I find the white lights more soothing on the eyes over the orange. Neither stereo's visibility is very good on sunny days and the newer black dash is nice, more modern, not as retro I guess you could say.

I did have the four leaf pack put on my '11 (thanks to you guys) and now my '15 has them, however like DoorDing says they are still junk. I have an approx. 100lbs tool/cargo box in the bed along with a snug top cap and the rear end is sagging already.

My '11 was stock and so is this one so far, but I am wanting to lift it a couple of inches, just afraid of having vibe issues.

I hope that I don't regret not waiting for the 3rd gen. There's only a few things that I would like to see on the next model, boxed frame that was on my 88 & 92, higher seats,, stronger tailgate and perhaps a couple of more engine choices.

All and all not sure it was the smartest move, due to the fact that my '11 was paid for:rolleyes:.
