Any more opinions on this? I went ahead and ordered another set of EBC pads. Figured it would be a sort of test if nothing else. Still would like to investigate my rear brakes though.

Added these to the count of LSC's pics taken in a random parking lot or in front of gas station. Think it's over 1,000 at this point :p

Built a little sub box in the back seat for an 8. Tried to seal it off the best I could.

I'm just so used to my old 15 that this isn't sufficient enough for me. Getting a 12 with more power to see how I like it

Do you need your back seat? You could go the " HBTACO route" and have a lot of speaker/storage space

But you dont have the 15 in the truck anymore. So I wasnt sure if you needed it (the backseat) or not. Just making a suggestion.

Plus his box is among my favorite mods on the site and I want someone else to do it lol

thats an awesome idea. i plan on doing a cage this upcoming year so id have to shift things around if i made a box like that. and sealing it would be a pain

I dont think sealing it would be as bad as building the perfect deminsions. I get what you are saying about the cage though. Definately need that build first or you would be building the box twice

I dont know how structurally stable it would be if you cut off just one side(?). I would just suggest waterproof boxes in the bed

Edit: I guess if you can weld and did weld the open gap that would be in the middle of the truck, it would be safe. Either way, whatever side was cut, would need bracing somehow

Tried to go from a 15 on 1500watts to 2 8s on 600 and had to go back. I put the box standing up behind drivers seat and im happy with the loss of a seat.

Get some 10s. Best sized sub really. Still tight and quick transients. But can move air like crazy if you get the right ones. My dual alpine type Xs out power your 15". Looks like they take up less or the same amount of space.

Not that a few hundred watts makes any difference. Need over twice the wattage to notice a big difference in terms of actual volume.

In terms of efficiency it can help in terms of amps.

Well it may be the best sized sub for your application.
I'm having a local guy help me with finding something I like than going and spending a shit ton on stereo equipment.

I don't understand why people mount there amps directly to the box... Besides convenience. Why mount a vibration sensitive electrical component directly to a vibration creator?
