Pull the whole weather strip off, peel the tape off that is covering the OE holes and then put painters tape on the roof of the truck adjacent to the OE holes. Next use a builders square or a speed square butted up against the body line of the rain gutter to make marks on the painters tape where the center of each OE hole is. Then replace the rubber strip and transfer your center marks from the painters tape back onto the weather strip. Take the weather strip back off once you have it marked and use the punch on top of a softer wood surface IE a scrap 2x4.

I used this method and my marks turned out perfect - see photo.

Certainly! Access cabs don't have holes either so all of those installing them will need to drill. I haven't fit a regular cab yet to see how much shorter the rack will need to be than the access cab but if you are interested I can get working on it.

Everything is submitted to the laser cutter. I am planning on getting in touch with them tomorrow to see. Not sure how many days they took off last week since I was out of town for work as well. I should have a better idea for you tomorrow.

    ROTOPAX

I keep getting blown away with the local companies near me. My Heretic light continues to blow me away. Rotopax I have known about for some time but never new they were local. I decided to pick up some of their items on the cyber monday sale to test out and see if I would want to become a dealer for them.

I am blown away at how rugged these cases/containers are. I figured they would be nice but they are sturdier than any container I have ever used save a steel jerry can. They have tons of handles and the mounts are strong.

Due to the adjustability of PRINSU racks mounting won't be a problem. I ordered the universal mounting plate and was able to mount it to my rack without moving the crossbars. I had to widen some of the holes to use the hardware I had but it was a simple install.

I picked up a 4 gallon gas and a 2 gallon storage/first aid combo. I stacked them and together they are only 6" high and sit barely higher than my pelican case. I love the setup and am excited to put it to use. I haven't filled the gas can yet to see about leaks but from what I have heard these cans don't ever have problems with leaking.

    Some pictures:

just awesome! I was wondering what type of plate was needed to get these to work. Plus, I love the stacking idea. I am gonna try a combo water/gas setup. Great work, man!

Thanks, I am really happy with it so far. No off-roading yet but around town there is no added noise and they stay pretty well secured.

Starting to build my truck up and I'm looking at buying a cap. Prob going with jasoncaps.com their cyber series is what I'm looking at. They have a few different options for roof racks Yakima and rhino aero both trac mounted or a fixed version.

Would like as soon as money permits get a roof rack from you for the cap and the roof of the truck. Just want to make sure I get the right track or mounting that I need in the cap I'm looking at thanks

My racks will mount easily to thule and yakima tracks. From what I have seen rhino tracks are very similar and would work too. I would recommend the tracks vs fixed mounting points. They disperse the load better.

I added some Rigid SRQ2 in wide for reverse lights. I will finish wiring them this weekend. Way over kill for reverse lights but why not.

How did you mount the pelican? Drill through the bottom? I am considering doing the same to store my recovery 1st aid gear to get it out of the bed

I considered running back up lights like this. How did you run the wires?

I zip tied them to the front of the cap then down between the bed and body to my fuse panel next to the master cylinder. I don't like it so I am going to redo it with the wires going down into the cap the rear cap window then under the bed from there.

    I hope that makes sense
