I know the OP will not run another GB on this, but he said he will share the info he learned along the way with some fellas who might want to run another one.

We're the guinea pig group to see how this all shakes out. Hopefully well. I'm not sure how another GB run by a different member will get announced, but we aren't receiving our tents for a while yet - so they're probably going to wait to see our reviews before kicking one up.

Only thing I could think of is either the manufacturer kept pushing back the date or something, or everyone got ripped off

Guys, the tents are in the US and waiting customs.

The OP has all of us in the GB informed via email so that's why it seems like the thread is dead. Lucas is very transparent and always letting us know what's going on.

As soon as I get mine, pics will be posted!

Hopefully it just died before money was swapped. OP is still active so hopefully he notices and gives an update.

OP has been great sending emails! Forwarding any emails he gets to the 10 that got in on the GB

If everyone got ripped off, we would be posting here. If we got our tents, we would be posting here too. I'm so excited I almost wanna set it up and sleep on the block when it comes :anonymous:

That elevated quickly :) yes the groupbuy is alive and well. I have been communicating with the nine others via email because it is easier for me to keep track of and I always send copies of receipts and emails I get along the way from the maker, freight forwarder, and freight company. We had a couple week delay due to the Chinese holiday.

Now the biggest delay is due to congestion in the LA port. The ship our container was on was stuck doing circles off the coast waiting to get in the port for a week. As soon as it got into port it was Thanksgiving and it sat for the long weekend.

Due to the congestion we have been waiting for the container to get out of the port. That should have HAPPEND in the last 24 hours and hopefully we are just waiting on customs now.

Those in the groupbuy have been awesome and extremely patient. This was a metric shit ton of work, particularly because I was learning along the way.

International ocean freight is a complex world and the fact I am not a buisness makes it more complicated as most freight companies/forwarders will not take you serious as just a person with what is a small shipment to them.

Fortunately I have a good freight forwarding company that has been patient, answered my million questions, and really made this happen. There is light at the end of the tunnel.

After this works out I could easily do it again with what I know now. The problem is I would have to get a tent also, again, to keep this "non-business. I am willing to pass along my knowledge to some one else willing to take the next one!

Every one in the group buy should have seen these quite a while ago, I am sure there are many that are curious about this so here are couple pics I received of one of our actual tents prior to it being boxed up.
