You referring to the panel? What harness are you referring to?

My understanding is that takes place of the blades and allows you to use Packard terminals that snap in and out.

There's a lot of ways to tackle it. I've got weatherpacks on each circuit so I'd always leave my switches connected and just snap the weather pack connector out. I don't know why you'd need to unplug a switch but I'm sure there's probably a good reason

They're also in my picture above with the fuse box and switch panel.

It's a positive/negative weatherproof quick connect. Skygear offers them with his fuse boxes. Basically crimp a pin connector with a rubber grommet on to the wire, then slide the pin into a plastic housing using the rubber grommet to seal it.

Yep, weatherpack are a great solution. Also, as I stated a couple pages back. If anyone wants to get their box back to me, I can reconfigure it and send it back. Just pay the shipping and for the additional consumables you are upgrading to.

    [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

I believe someone here was already selling these. I could be mistaken. The ones I have installed for people were already terminated . But, I have wire and can get the connectors to terminate them.

JIM - OTRATTW - Want to chime in? If you don't sell them terminated already, I could buy a bunch in bulk and resell them also.

Dane - these are basically just a Plug. So our switch would still be held in with the wings as usual. BUT instead of terminating a ton of spade clips to go onto the prongs of the switches. You would simply just wire up the plug with your +/-/Ilumination/trigger -> then plug the switch into the plug. Saves on organization. Issue most people have though is that once that plug is on the back of one of these switches, it really limits the clearance and thus where you can put the switches.

i'm intrigued, so OTRATTW offers a plug into the switch. great. but you have to run wires to the plug. what kind of wires do you run to the plug.

The LONG harness I made for you.

you pick when you want the switch to be powered. Either Ignition (skinny red wire) or always on ( Thicker red wire)

Then connect all the + together on the switches for the corresponding option (HOT or IGN) - Use the BLACK wire in the loom as your ground. CONNECT ALL THE GROUNDS TO THAT WIRE>

Each of the colored wires are individual trigger wires to the relay. SO one of those to each of the switches.

Finally, if you chose a switch with the illumination option for interior lighting. you connect all of them together and then terminate to the closest interior illumination source. If I remember correctly. It will be a green wire with a red speckle on them in a 2nd gen. I would take a multimeter and test the switch source for the proper one nearest to your switches though.

Yes. 100 gets you basic box. color coded wires on the rear. jumpers n place and all. 10' leads and +/- cables. I include SPDT relays, normally I do not terminate the 5th lead though. Most people do not use it or know what it is for. If someone DOES need it. They normally tell me or I include a couple extra leads to remove the plugs and place them in to 'activate' that portion of the relay.

I make long harnesses through firewall for the switches that are an additional charge. People tell me what they want and I bill it out. If you just want the basic box. I paypal invoice you and build the box. Plus the 12.75 USPS flat rate medium box shipping.

How are you cutting your braided loom? Hot knife?

It's my first time using it and simply using scissors is leaving a LOT of stands

Yep, normally a hot knife. Or a soldering iron. You can use a lighter to seal up the ends too.
