I'd rather turn all my wealth into racing and killing machines than let it sit in the bank and be profited off of by bankers.

Picked up a new recoil spring for my 5906 from Midway USA when they were running their Cyber Monday sale, and it finally arrived today. Only cost me $3 to get it, so even though I hadn't noticed any feed issues I figured I might as well swap it out. Looks like it's a good thing I did, too, because the old one was about 1/4-1/3rd of an inch shorter than the new unit.

So you got 600 rnds for 163 or 163 apiece?
And why .223 and not 5.56?

Do you notice any difference between 5.56 and .223? Never shot .223 out of my rifle. I keep all my ammo the same. Only 5.56, 62 grain for consistency, and have you noticed any issues with the PMC? I have heard a few things about it, not sure if they were true, like fowling.

only ammo I've ever shot out of my 556 ARs are Nato Green Tip and 223 55 Grain FMJ Wolf. Havent noticed too much of a difference, but that's more me not noticing. I pretty much only shoot at steel in the desert so not much monitoring for accuracy as long as it hits the steel.

The 556 will have slightly higher chamber pressures.dont know about fouling.

Yeah, who knew that the company that makes Toyota's leaf springs made the recoil spring in my gun too? :notsure:
Of course, my S&W is probably 25 years old (it's an early model w/the squared trigger guard) and that's probably the original spring.

Nah, 1/3 (8/24th) is more accurate to the amount of compression; 3/8 (9/24th) is too much. :p
