Ohio State quarterback J.T. Barrett and his ex-girlfriend made 911 calls on Tuesday morning alleging each attacked the other.
Columbus Police responded to calls for a domestic dispute at Barrett's apartment. Barrett and the woman both declined to file charges, and police said that neither had visible injuries.

[+] Enlarge[IMG]Jason Mowry/Icon SportswireJ.T. Barrett accounted for 45 touchdowns as a redshirt freshman this season but broke his ankle last month against Michigan.

The case will be referred to the prosecutor's office, and any charges would have to be prompted by either Barrett or his ex-girlfriend.
Barrett, a redshirt freshman who started the entire regular season for the No. 4 Buckeyes before breaking his ankle against Michigan, accused the woman of refusing to leave his apartment, according to the police report.
In a separate call, the woman said Barrett choked her and flung her across the room.

Doesn't mean he deserves more than Gary Patterson or Dan Mullen.

He's just in love with urban Meyer. Apparently he can't comprehend that OSU is expected to be good. Same with Oregon. it doesn't matter who their starters are, they are supposed to win.

I'm just wondering why he just copy and pastes articles all the time. Can't come up with any arguments himself I guess.

What I find hilarious is that he keeps claiming that he isn't an OSU fan.

Regardless, anybody that can turn 4-8 TCU into an 11 win team and co champs of their conference deserves COTY.

I've heard this argument before... He was the coach when they went 4-8, too. It's not like he came in and turned them around. He's 15-9 in 2013/14.

What Malzahn did in 2013 deserves coach of the decade... They were a clown show the last year under Chizik, going without a win in conference play. They went 12-2 the next year (Malzahn's first as HC), won the SEC and played for the NC. THAT is COTY material.

Meyer guided a team w/ three different quarterbacks to a conference title (in convincing fashion) and a berth in the CFB playoff. I'd give it to him, even though I hate him and everything about him and hope Saban makes him cry like a little girl and quit his job again.

This is exactly correct! How can you not give it to him. Just because the buckeyes are expected to be good doesn't mean he doesn't deserve it. That logic is just nonesense. Meyer also lost a running back and a defensive starter. Like him or hate him he is one heckuva coach. I still don't know why everyone hates him but I guess when he was in the sec you all were more privy to more information about him than further north.

So because he coached poorly last year means he doesn't deserve it for this year? That's horse shit. He took a receiver and turned him into one of the best quarterbacks in the nation. Patterson won 11 games in a conference that is clearly much tougher than the B1G with significantly less overall talent on his team. He avoided losing to any cupcakes at home by 2 touchdowns. Also, I don't really buy the "he used 3 quarterback" argument because Meyer's system allows for anyone who can run and halfway throw a ball to be successful.

He's a great coach. OSeWe got a steal of a deal......like trading in a Yugo for a Taco. He should turn that program around......The Biebs got a great deal.

the hokies are going to a bowl game while tcu played samford. He did use three quarterbacks and yes his system does work. From what I have been reading tcu may have been in the final four but....when osu beat the # 13 team in the country with a heisman finalist on that team and shut him and his team down and osu third string qb leads them to 59 points then anyone with a half wit would see he is clearly the better team and coach.

That Wisconsin win doesn't look as good to me knowing their coach had both feet out the door...

2nd string QB. and he only played one game. Do you know how hard it is to prep for a QB that hasn't started a college game? They had to go and look at HS film because no one knew how he'd be used.

if you are result oriented, whoever coaches the team that wins the national championship should win it.

Doesn't mean he doesn't deserve it this year. Not what I'm saying. Just saying that pointing out that the 4-8 team was turned around to be 11-1 is silly b/c it was HIS 4-8 team. Just drop the talk of last years shitty team all together and I'm OK w/ it.

People can talk about systems vs. players, but it's damn impressive to be able to have success with a guy who started the year as a backup, and even more to have it with #3. How would MSU do w/o Dak or Dak's backup?

I disagree... I think if Mullen were to have gotten MSU to the 4-team playoff, he would have been more deserving than, say, Oregon's coach should the ducks win it all. Expectations (right or wrong) are a big part of it. Saban hasn't been coach of the year for a while b/c people EXPECT his teams to compete for the NC. Even when he wins one and has the #1 team in the nation, he's not considered anymore. (He's had a team ranked #1 in 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014, btw...)
