Good work Tashcomer! Glad you've been able to retain any TW interest on this topic, as I pointed this out and a number of other things for the 2016, but was shot down as if I was shooting out inane gibberish. Both myself and pbm317 simultaneously pointed out this detail on the tailgate months ago and more.

The skeptics on here can go :brianr: for that matter, as those that know anything, remember which lines not to cross. BTW, this does not refer to everyone at TW (far from it). Anyways, it is not 100% ground up. Then again compare the 1995 Pickup (1986 design) to the 1995.5 Tacoma (1991-92 Calty design) and it's pretty evolutionary.

Since Gen II was revolutionary (back in 2004), it only made sense for MY2016 to be evolutionary. Despite replacing an 11-year old vehicle model. The overall second gen design dates back to 2001-2002!

Rain coming down pretty hard up north? We're suppose to get it early Friday morning.

BTW the wait for updates or early spy photos is killing me on the 3rd gen Tacoma :D

Retain interest? It has been a thread topic on TW for 5 years minimum with much speculation. Skeptics? Skeptics by definition, are just questioning opinion not fact.
    nice pictures.

Believe me, I definitely haven't lost any interest. It is really one thing to be simply wary of secret info and another to attack various people's credibility and outright dismiss their good-intentioned efforts. I lurked TW for 6 years, until I bought my second Tacoma. I remember in July/ August 2007 when we were all assuming a facelift would come in late 2007, but that happened in 2008 for model year '09. I had confirmed the 2008 model was unchanged, under a long forgotten and single post account. I understand plenty, with dodging bogus info between that time and 2013. I've observed it all and knew as early as 2 years ago MY2016 was the target launch, not 2012 or 2015.

In the last year, some folks really should've put their thinking caps on and read between the lines, instead of what one has witnessed at times. Between a few of us helping and some suppliers listing 2015 schedules for Tacoma changes, things have been much more concrete on the information front when provided (unlike before with bogus non-2016 predictions). Not exactly detailed 100%, but truthful nonetheless.

Thanks. I like the pics too, as it connects the past 20-25+ years of Toyota trucks (sans Tundra/T100). I want everyone to understand why any similarities will exist between the 2015 and 2016.
