I was checking my mail last night and noticed I got a letter from Toyota about a recall on my '06. I must admit I didn't spend much time looking at it as I was in a bit of a hurry trying to flip a freebie dirtbike that fell into my hands.

The letter was saying that one of the leaf springs might break causing damage...etc.... As far as I know my springs are all from the factory. Is there any logical reasoning I wouldn't go in and get the new part installed ?

They haven't decided what the fix is yet. If your springs break before they decide they will fix them. Once they do decide, I would get the recall done. Its free and if your springs break in the future after the recall has expired and you didn't get it fixed, then you will not be able to have it fixed. It kinda like an extra warranty lol basically, once toyota decides what they will do, get it done

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
If this keeps up Toyota will be as broke as MC Hammer. :rimshot:

Why wouldn't 2012-15 Tacoma's be part of the recall if Toyota dosent have a "fix" yet.
Did they change something on the newer 2nd gen Toyota's?

Smoke headlights, improved LED tail lights...Pending: De-chrome badges and grille, new tires
I did the leaf spring TSB years ago. I can't believe this is still an issue.
