Bilstein 5125 Rear Shocks for Second Gen Tacoma w/ 1.5"-2" lift

DON'T KNOW HOW TO CHANGE THE TITLE BUT I WAS MISTAKEN, OPTIMAL LIFT HEIGHT IS 2-2.5".
I bought these shocks from Downsouth Motorsports a while back and decided to go a different route with my rear suspension. I only took them out of the box to take the picture, so they were never mounted. New they're around $170 shipped, I'll sell them at $150 shipped

Rear shock Part #24-214667 will work with a 2" or 2.5".
Bilstein 5125 series 24-214667 Dimensions:Note(90 day warranty on 5125 series from original date of purchase)
Valving: 170/60
Extended Length: 25.98"
Collapsed Length: 16.14"

 

Damn. Wish you would have posted last week before I installed my AAL.

 

Did you replace the rear shocks already?

 

Nope, stock billies. Whichever bilstiens come on the TRD sports.

 

Pick these up hack! You'll need extended shocks at some point with the AAL and stock Bilsteins.

Would've snapped these up last week for my AAL. Probably should and sell my 5100s but too much work.

good shocks if you have a thick leaf pack (like an all pro) or blocks. Just watch out on the collapsed length, you need ~ 14.5 collapsed length if you are rocking a stock 3+1 leaf pack and a single or 3 leaf progressive AAL regardless of lift height to avoid bottom a shock out before hitting a bumpstop.

I'm surprised Downsouth never mentioned this because I originally bought them for an AAL kit.

So if I only have the 1.5" aal from icon these wont work? or can I just set the ride height higher on these?

 

So if I have the stock 4 leafs on my Sport and put a 1.5 to 2.0 AAL on it will these be fine?

 

Since these are the rear shocks, the ride height is not adjustable. What I'm gathering from members and other threads about these shocks is that with an aal the suspension will compress more than the shocks allow. So essentially it would turn your shocks into bumpstops, which isn't good.
I believe these shocks are ideal for All Pro leafs and Dakar leafs. Or possibly an aal with a small block (1" maybe).

 

To many conflicting responses. Chas on another thread says I should get the part number your selling. Then others say it won't work. Does anyone have a solid actual answer on this so I can buy these or something else

 

I think it really depends on the manufacturer of the aal. They will know better than me if these shocks will work with their kit. It seems like the aal for the TSB springs (4 leaf) are only 1.5", but I could be wrong on that
