It smells good enough to drink (although i don't recommend it). It's the best smelling product in my arsenal, it also work's fantastic.

If you are talking about their Express Wax, I didn't like that stuff at all. Very strong solvent smell and the shine was just OK (see my previous post on that).

For ease of use, shine and no staining/crust, I find the following spray wax products the best (in no particular order):

    Duragloss Aquawax
    SYSTEM ONE Spray Wax
    Eagle One Nanowax
    Meguiar's Ultimate Quik Wax

You'll be happy with any of those choices...

I'm looking into waxes and polishes again. When I bought my first new car in 1998, I looked into it and decided on Meguiar's pro series, #26 Hi-Tech Yellow Wax and several supporting products. It worked very well, but I didn't keep up on the waxing and my paint suffered over the next ten years.

I'm thinking of going with one of the Meguiar's consumer products like the NXT now. Ideally I'd like to be able to detail the truck about 3x per year: spring, mid summer, and pre-winter.

My question here is this: I currently have a long daily commute, and I've been accumulating a lot of bugs, which necessitates weekly washing. Is there anything I can or should be applying to the leading edges during that weekly wash that would help protect from the bug splatter (and help it come off under high-pressure washing)?

The only thing done to the paint so far is the prep work at the dealership.

In between waxes, use a spray wax for the areas of concern. Meguiar's Ultimate Quik Wax, Duragloss Aquawax, Eagle One Nanowax and SYSTEM ONE Spray Wax all work great and are easy enough to apply/remove that you can apply them weekly with very little extra effort/time. Apply spray wax after every wash to those areas.

hmmmm - yeh, I'd like to know too?
I try to keep a protective layer of mud and dust on my tacoma.
But not so much that it hides the Arizona Pinstriping.

(Actually - I don't have enough AZ Pinstriping - the result of sitting at a desk too much...)
