Just chugging away. It's slow tonight and management implemented new procedures to try and force the slackers on the team to not slack off and actually work. Except the new procedures are ineffective and just more of a pain in my ass (I do the most work measured by our metrics on the shift) so it's taken a bite out of my motivation and productivity tonight.

Anyway, only 5 hours to go or so. How's life with you?

 

Sounds like the only way to fix the slackers is to send them down the road.

Same here. I was actually told by a co-worker not turn over some info at turnover to a lazy dude about how we have to manually operate a valve now(takes 5 minutes TOPS) during an automatic sequence, just so the dude doesn't call out. We're only doing it for like a week, and if he finds out before his shift he won't come in. Fuckin lazy.

 

I'm getting tired of being the first to chime in. All I can figure is the left coasters have no issue saying hello at the start of their shift.

We really need an interesting topic.

Anyone up for funny xmas stories?

I knocked the xmas tree down when I was 4. I was a night owl then too. Pretty amaizing how loud breaking, glass orniments sound in a quiet house at 3 in the morning.

I didn't get in trouble, but my dad did. Mom lit into him for half assing the tree stand.
