Only had to park in Seattle a handful of times, we always walk or use pub trans.

I prefer how they look, enough use-fullness that I need (I have hauled a ton in a short bed) and to be honest it fits better in the garage so I have room to get around it. A bed extender is a god send!

Do you know something I don't? Seattle's is far cleaner than SFs, and way more useful IME.

We stay at either Hotel Max or the Mayflower or whatever it's called, so it's convenient. And we can ride the train from SeaTac pretty much to the hotel.

The Sounder train is nice. So much cleaner than BART

Seems like that would make the neighborhood more susceptible to burglary.

I really wanted the OR TRD package which came in the short bed. I also got the tow package just in case the five foot bed would be an issue and so far for my needs the short bed works fine. I wanted a truck that would be able to park in the garage and that was a priority. I was really close on getting an access cab because I thought they looked better but for only 800 dollars more with more interior room and the truck being the same size was hard to pass up.

AND thats where a bed extender comes in handy, when you need that extra ft.

True. It's amazing what I've hauled in my sb with a headache rack. Wasn't going to pay for 1 ft more. Stays in garage with workbench behind it and plenty of room. I've hauled 16' 2x6's along with 16'v crimp panels. No prob.

    None yet
My prior was a DC/LB (Nissan Frontier, 2002, 2WD) and it was too long, but it floated.
It was also too short for a sheet of plywood anyway. So I figured that was really the only reason I had it and chose the SB when I came back to Toyota.

when I was in high school, the coolest car to have was an 87-92 Mustang 5.0. I'm 35 now and still want one, as a matter of fact. One kid had a 4 cylinder model, and put ground effects and all the 5.0 and GT badges and stuff on there to make it a clone..lol. It looked better than any true GT on the road. But he didn't get why they were so badass. It wasn't a measly 225hp or even all the performance mods available. It was the SOUND of that motor and exhaust system that made them so sweet. 20 years later and I still shut off the radio and roll down the window if I'm beside one in traffic.

Luckily, a Tacoma TRD doesn't sound any different than a non..lol

I would have preferred a DCLB, but I wanted TRD O/R and/or a 6 speed, neither of which are available in DCLB, so DCSB it is.

    I wish I had DCLB.

The SB is ok, but another foot of bed never hurt anything.
