I also think more people would sympathize with the need for that to conclude without a bunch of out of control people playing bumper boats on the ocean while putting lives at risk in doing so. I don't think there's much scientific need to continue hunting whales, particularly so as they can't be captured humanely whatsoever. Killing them via harpoon and bleeding them to death while in unimaginable pain is completely fucked.

I'm all for animal rights, I'm not for the convoluted "fight" that Paul Watson (who is a piece of shit coward IMO) has been waging via his crew of confused but passionate humans. I'd love to see the millions of dollars spent by donors footing his gas and food bills be used in a way that didn't boil down to modern piracy and borderline terrorism.

I don't believe in zoos or other animal "habitats," and I don't believe he does any more good that can't be done in better ways with less risk to life and less extremism.

Im pretty sure they call it scientific study because we wouldnt approve of them killing them for food anyways. We all know they just like a nice steaming plate of whale blubber to go down with a warm glass of sake.

OZ didn't someone pass a sanction or something last year or two regarding the whale hunt by the Japanese? Or was it just a strongly worded letter condemning them and making it clear their "scientific study" was BS.

So you are ok with another country for no real basis in supporting the killing of animals because 'extremism' is bad, yet our League of Nations has no real teeth to do anything anyway but talk BS? Not to mention that this occurs in waters designated under the protectorate of other countries or a sancurary type designation.
This is not indifferent to what is happening in Africa with the Rhinos and Elephants, which we support through our collective apathy and disposition to not in our back yard false concept....
