I think it is the angle of the lot that throws off the perspective more than it actually is. The trailer normally sets level by the mark it off on my leg test. The trailer is a little nose heavy in thes pics though. They were loaded at night and in the order I picked them up for the tow down and I didn't want to mess with reloading that 900lb Roadglide beast alone so I left it where it was. I did load the Wideglide in front but closer to the center and the Roadglide on the rear for the return trip and it did ride a lot better.

Tows really nice. Weight is pretty much right over wheels and I usually don't go far.

Nice tractor! What model is it? Wish I had a 'hoe for my unit.

How much does the trailer + tractor weigh?

That's a B26. They're about 4k (heavy tractors for being little guys). From my experience that trailer is probably 1750-2000 pounds. Seems like the load is too rear heavy, do you tow that on the freeway Chief?

I am right at the 6K limit but no highway just local roads. I might bring it up a foot more next time as when u look at the picture seems heavy in the rear but trailered fine and tongue didn't seem light. Only towed about 6 miles. Dealer is 12 if I need service but do most myself.

Towed this from Sun River to Mt. Bachelor. About 25 miles one way. Trailer is solid steel, sleds are 600lbs each + 10 gal of gas. Pretty sure i was far over my tow rating...

Tranny temp was fine, had her in second gear most of the way around 3000rpms. Heavy sum bitch.

First off I like your tractor! My question is! Do you or anyone else towing in the 4k-6k range smell clutch during or after towing? I have towed a few times with my 2012 TRD sport never in "D", short 10-20 mile runs with no big hills. But I can smell the clutch. I know my truck does not have a tranny cooler (on the to do list) but this drives me nuts thinking I'm killing my trans!

I find it extremely odd that you smell a clutch burning with an automatic transmission.

^but seriously you are not smelling clutch. Unless toyota changed standard equipment in 2012, every TRD model has a tow package, which includes a trans. cooler.

Do you have trailer brakes? Are they working properly? I believe you may smell your brakes.

Sounds like you don't have the tow package if you know that you don't have a transmission cooler. Without the tow package, Toyota says that the tow limit is 3500lbs for the V6. Not sure where the smell would be coming from; brakes would be my guess.

Thanks Guys, I did not think of the brakes??? But will check!
Brake controller is the next mod after the trans cooler.

On that note! Is it common to smell brakes when towing heavy without a brake controller?
