I love my new truck but miss my Tacoma
My brother in-law has a glock and the one thing he does not like about it is that the safety is part of the trigger.

My Sig 226 doesn't have a traditional safety. There's a decocker for the hammer but that's it. It works well for me - I've never been slightly concerned when carrying. Now I have a 25 cal that has a safety that requires a careful release of the hammer with your finger off of the trigger to lock the trigger. In order to fire the gun, you have to cock the hammer which releases the trigger from the lock. I find it complicated and can only imagine how hard it would be in a high stress condition to draw this thing and get it in a fire ready condition.

You can start a hell of a discussion if you start out with glock, haha. There are some hardcore fanboys and just as many who hate them with a passion. It's important to find a gun you're comfortable with and like the way it functions. Everyone will be different and have different needs.

Yeah, it took me a little while to get used to that too, and I still have never been as completely comfortable with it as a carry gun because of the lack of a manual safety.
I've got an Uncle Mike's reflex holster for it, so the trigger's protected, but I just like redundant safeties in my guns. Everything I carry on a regular basis (the 5906, the Shield, and the BG) has an actual manual safety on it, and a holster that completely covers the trigger and the safety mechanism.
    :notsure:

Also, ordered one of these yesterday.

I used to have a set that I kept in the truck, but I lost it when we moved and it hasn't turned up yet. Useful for when you're locked out of your house or garage (or somebody else's :spy:, or the boss forgets his keys to the office, etc)

I like my trigger safetys . I don't own any pistols with a manual safety.

I carry with the tube loaded and the safety off. My carry weapons are da/sa. All my holsters secure the weapons to my desire.

I like the 1911 safety. Grip and manual safety. Too big for me to conceal, but I like the design.

Paint the end of the barrel orange. The cops will assume it's fake.

What's the point of carrying if you can't waive it around and stuff in public?

Why anyone would want to open carry in the first place is beyond me

The subject of open carry vs concealed carry pisses me off. I have not heard of one justifiable reason why open carry is necessary that a concealed carry could not perform. I personally feel open carry is for people who wish to try intimidate people, to try and control a situation in which that person may not be normally respected. I have a friend that open carries in a state legal to and he likes the way people tend not to disagree with him openly. Sadly it just makes some people feel very uncomfortable and now they just avoid him altogether. Both people missing the chance get to truly know each other for real.

Don't talk to the employees at Autozone. Just find the bulb yourself.
